🌏International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples🌏

Today we recognise International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, celebrating the rich cultures, histories, knowledge and contributions of First Nations communities around the world.

This day provides an opportunity to reflect on the strength, resilience and diversity of these communities, while recognising the importance of protecting cultural traditions, supporting self-determination and ensuring First Nations voices continue to be heard.

In Australia, we acknowledge the deep and continuing connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with Country, culture and community. We recognise the invaluable knowledge, perspectives and contributions that continue to shape our nation.

At DCASV, we are committed to fostering respect, understanding and meaningful relationships with First Nations communities.
