🌿 Love exploring the Top End and want to share it with others?

With so many members keen to get out walking this dry season, we’re looking for more walk leaders, volunteers, and future committee members.

If you’ve got a bit of experience, know some great spots, or simply enjoy bringing people together - this could be for you.

You don’t need to be an expert. Many of our leaders started by just giving it a go! Want to explore somewhere? Why not take some like-minded members with you!

Our AGM is the perfect chance to learn more, ask questions, and see how you can get involved.

Thinking about getting into bushwalking - but not sure where to start? 🌿

You’re not alone!
And what better time to start - hello dry season!

A lot of people love the idea of exploring the Top End on foot, but feel unsure about what they need, where to go, or whether they’ll be able to keep up.

That’s exactly where the Darwin Bushwalking Club comes in.

We offer a range of walks - from shorter, easier outings through to day walks and overnight trips - so you can start at a level that feels right for you.

You don’t need all the gear straight away.
We can help with advice, support, and even lend equipment while you’re getting started.

Most importantly, you’ll be walking with people who are happy to share knowledge, encouragement, and a genuine love of the outdoors.

Everyone starts somewhere.
This could be your first step.

🌿 Never been to an AGM before? You’re not alone.

An AGM is an “Annual General Meeting”. Where the committee give members an update on what’s happening with the club. You must be a club member to attend.

Our AGM is simply a chance to get together, hear what’s been happening, and chat about where the club is heading.

You don’t need experience, and there’s no pressure - just come along, listen in, and be part of the community.

It’s also a great way to meet people and learn how the club runs behind the scenes.

A few happy snaps from recent club walks 🌿

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve enjoyed a mix of adventures as we transition into the dry season - from casual, family-friendly walks to more challenging day hikes, an overnight in Litchfield, and a group on a multi-day trip in Kakadu.

A special mention to Louise, who led her first overnight walk in Litchfield - an exciting milestone and a great example of how our members grow into new roles within the club.
