Join us in honouring the legacy of Tony Fitzgerald at this year’s Tony Fitzgerald Memorial Address, to be delivered by Coroner Elisabeth Armitage.

Tony was a champion for human rights for more than two decades, and served as Anti-Discrimination Commissioner from 2002 until his passing in 2009.

NOTICE TO MEMBERS - CLANT AGM

The CLANT Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Ward Keller, Level 7, 22 Mitchell Street Darwin on Thursday 30 November 2023 at 5pm.

In accordance with Clause 23(3) of CLANT Constitution, at the meeting the office of each committee member will be declared vacant and elections for a new committee held.

Accordingly, nominations are sought from the membership for the following positions:
- President;
- Vice-president (up to 3 positions);
- Secretary / Public Officer;
- Treasurer; and,
- Ordinary committee member (up to 10 positions).

Should the number of nominations exceed the number of vacancies on the committee, ballots for those positions will be conducted. Expressions of interest are sought from a member to act as Returning Officer and co-ordinate a ballot, if required.

Members who believe they have the commitment, passion and time to contribute to the furtherance of CLANT’s objects and purposes are encouraged to nominate for a position on the committee.

Following the amendments to the Constitution at the June 2023 Special General Meeting, attendance and voting via Teams will be facilitated. The link will be provided at a later date.

Full details, proxy and nomination forms are available from the CLANT Website (www.clant.org.au). Proxy voting, committee nominations, and notification of attendance via Teams should be provided to the Secretary via email to [email protected] no later than close-of-business Wednesday 29 November 2023.

Membership applications will be accepted up until the opening of the AGM.
