Disability Action Southeast - DAS Disability Action Southeast (DAS) was established in 1986 as a reference group of DRC Advocacy. We are committed to overcome discrimination in society.

Belief Statement
We believe in full human rights for all regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, indigenous or economic background, and full access to society including education, employment and community participation. Membership
Disability Action Southeast will comprise of up to 15 people with disabilities living in the outer southeast growth corridor. To be eligible you

need to meet the following criteria:-
• People with disabilities (consumers) where there is not a perception of conflict of interest due to for example, service provision.
• Clients of the DRC southeast outreach advocacy service, following the completion of their advocacy service plan.
• If a person with a disability on the committee requires advocacy during their participation on the reference group they will be expected to stand down; unless the advocacy was to further the work already being done by the reference group.
• Members of the DRC Committee of Management can participate on DAS.
• For continuing membership members need to remain active through attendance or correspondence.
