Rotary Club of Dalby - RI District 9620

Rotary Club of Dalby is a group of people whose aim is, by their volunteer activities, to make a difference to others. Charter date 30th August 1939.

Our Rotary Club meets at the Dalby Leagues Club, Orpen Street Dalby each Tuesday at 6.00pm for 6.15pm meal/meeting. Guest speakers, fun activities, information, socialising with a Rotary flavour.

Our club enjoys supporting Reach at Siem Reap in Cambodia - so much so that several of us actually visited the school earlier this year. This school is such a vital part of the local community. Keep up the good work "Emily & Team".

To support the Domestic Violence Awareness Walk this Friday please meet at Bell Park, Cunningham Street Dalby (between the Russell Hotel and the railway line) for a walk to Mary's Place.
Our club is providing a free sausage sizzle!

Dalby Rotary and Dalby Lions enjoyed their annual battle to retain the "Hand Of Friendship" trophy last week. This year we chose pool as the competitive sport. It was best out of 7 games and I'm saddened to say that Lions won. We played at Scrappy Malone's so win or lose, we all enjoyed some beer and pizza for dinner. Pictured here is Rotary President Sara Thorneycroft presenting the trophy to Lions President Greg Stimson. (No doubt Rotary will win it back next year 🙂).

Rotary Youth Service Month is celebrated throughout May 2026. During this month, Rotary clubs worldwide focus on showcasing and empowering the next generation of leaders through programs like Interact, Rotaract, RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), and Youth Exchange.
A highlight of our Club’s visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia earlier this year was visiting the Rotaract Club of Siem Reap and hearing about the inspiring projects they conduct in their community.
Below find some information on youth projects in our region. Please contact our club to learn more and if you know of anyone interested in participating.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an exciting and challenging training program which aims to equip leaders and potential leaders between the ages of 20 and 30 with the personal, leadership and citizenship skills required to succeed in all areas of their life. The program provides participants with an unforgettable experience in life, learning and laughter in a regional setting.

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) provides valuable leadership training for ages 14 - 16 years. This residential weekend long program will see you engage with like-minded people, discover your values, build communication and leadership skills all whilst having fun! You will also get the chance to put your new-found skills to practical use!

There is lots to see at the Dalby Show which is on today and tomorrow! Our club is manning the Wilkes Street entry gate. please say hi when you come through.
You will also see the Rotary Nomads (Public Site) who are running the canteen in the main pavilion. Say hi when you buy one of their yummy burgers.

Tune in to Dalby's Community Radio 4ddd from 5pm this afternoon Wednesday, 1st April for 'Mixing with Matt'. Matt will be joined by Senior Constable Dan O’Hara who will be speaking about Operation Yankee Forge including unlawful use of vehicles, armed hold ups & break and enter of premises. Senior Constable Dan will also speak about Easter road safety which encompasses the Fatal Five Focus: targeting speed, fatigue, seatbelts, distraction, and drink/drug driving, with heavy RBT and drug testing anticipated.
