🌼 What a joyful way to welcome spring!

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Beenleigh Laughter Club last night. It was wonderful to share plenty of laughter and playfulness together, as well as time to chat and connect at the end of the session.

Something new is coming to Logan Libraries this school holidays!

Happy Moves is a fun intergenerational experience from Happy Impact.

🐠 This September, we're diving into an underwater adventure where music, movement, imagination and play bring the ocean to life! Explore a sea of fun through playful seated activities that get bodies moving, brains buzzing and generations laughing together, then create your own treasure box to take home.

It was lovely to be part of St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Woodridge Wellbeing Week this week.💛

I joined the staff for a fun session of Laugh for Wellbeing, taking a little time at the end of a busy school day to laugh, move, connect and reset together.

Based on the principles of Laughter Yoga, we explored how intentional laughter, playfulness and mindful breathing can create a positive shift in how we feel — all while having a bit of fun along the way!

A big thank you to Principal Helen Boyes, Assistant Principal Diane Johnson and the school for creating space for staff wellbeing and welcoming me so warmly. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and plenty of laughter! 😂

🎉 What a way to celebrate Beenleigh Laughter Club's 1st birthday!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Laughter Club on Friday night to celebrate one year of laughter, connection and community — and to mark Loneliness Awareness Week.

We had 15 people join us, including an incredible 9 newcomers! It was wonderful to welcome so many new faces, with people coming from different suburbs across Logan to share the evening with us.

We celebrated with some Ekka-inspired laughter exercises 🎡😂 and, as you can imagine, there was plenty of laughter, playfulness and fun! Laughter Club is a welcoming space to laugh, play, breathe, connect and support your wellbeing.

Thank you to the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre and everyone who has been part of our first year — whether you've joined us once, come along regularly, brought a friend or helped spread the word. You are what makes our Laughter Club community a special place.

Today marks the start of Loneliness Awareness Week.

1 in 2 people living in Australia are lonely and/or socially isolated. It's one of the most common human experiences, yet one of the least talked about. Loneliness can affect anyone, regardless of age or life stage.

Sometimes all it takes is a smile, an invitation, a conversation or a shared experience to help someone feel seen, valued and included.

Connection doesn't happen by accident. It grows in the spaces we create for each other. 🧡

At Happy Impact, we understand the challenges of loneliness because we've experienced it too. That's why we believe wellbeing grows through connection and community. Through laughter, play, movement and music, we create joyful opportunities for people to connect, belong and thrive.

So grateful for this lovely reflection from this morning's Beenleigh Yatala Junior Chamber of Commerce breakfast from Cr Karen Murphy. 💛 It was an absolute joy to share an interactive presentation on Laughter Yoga with a room full of inspiring young leaders.

Thank you Beenleigh Yatala Junior Chamber of Commerce for welcoming me, for your willingness to try something new, and your wonderful laughter. Very good, very good, YAY! 🙌 😂

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure to sing and share laughter with the Logan Dementia Choir. It was such a fabulous and joyful time! Thank you to everyone for welcoming me and embracing the playfulness of laughter yoga. 🎶😂💛

The Logan Dementia Choir is a fabulous and welcoming group. It’s for individuals living independently in Logan City and surrounds with a dementia diagnosis and their key people. Sessions are on Wednesdays 11:30am at the Bethania Community Centre. Every voice is valued and no auditions apply. If you’d like to learn more email [email protected]
