The Cygnet CWA is open today from 10am–3pm at Burton’s Reserve ❤️🧡❤️

It’s a wet and chilly day, so why not pop in and warm up with a bowl of our delicious homemade soup?

🥣 Today’s soups:
• Roasted Capsicum Soup
• Pumpkin Soup

☕ We also have fresh coffee, hot chocolate and chai available.

🍽️ Ready meals available today:
• Thai Green Curry with Dahl and Rice
• Beetroot Blush Frittata with Greens
• Ethiopian-Style Root Vegetable Bake with Leek and Silverbeet
• Butter Chicken on Rice with Yoghurt

🍰 Along with our regular range of cakes and slices (be quick for Sue’s famous Vanilla Slice and the delicious Tiramisu!)

🦢 Cygnet CWA – Kindness in Action 🦢

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming some wonderful students from Peregrine School, along with their teacher Luke, to volunteer at the CWA Cygnet.
The students spent time helping right across the Cottage — working in the garden with Jen weeding and planting, assisting Ayelet in the kitchen peeling and processing quinces for quince paste, and helping Sue in the shop.
It was such a joy to have these young people come along, lend a hand, and learn about the importance of volunteering, community, and helping others. Their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to get involved was truly appreciated.
A huge thank you to Luke and the students for spending the day with us. The future is bright with young people like these in our community 💛
Because community matters… and many hands really do make light work 🫶

🍛 Ayelet’s amazing Middle Eastern lunch
🍲 Curry sausages on rice
🥣 Soups this week:
• Sweet potato, lentil & coconut milk soup
• Turmeric & chicken soup
And of course we will have all our amazing cakes and slices in the cabinet, including Sue’s famous vanilla slice and her delicious tiramisu 🍰☕
We are also serving hot tea and coffee (alternative milks available) so grab one while you’re there 😊
The shop has also been restocked with some amazing winter clothing and new products 🧥🧣
