Exciting news thanks to the Queensland Government today! 🚌

In response to rising fuel costs, and the long distances our kids have to travel for education - Cunnamulla has been chosen for pilot project code name “Magic School Bus”.

Brand new teleportation technology will transport children attending boarding school to and from their destination, as well as children within the Paroo Shire. Distances that took nine hours before will be traveled in an instant!

A big thanks also to ICPA QLD INC - Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association Queensland Inc for advocating on our behalf to close the gap between country and city kids’ access to education 🧡

Even if it's not, the Cunnamulla ICPA is offering a bursary where you can add a bit of padding back to the wallet.

The bursary is for educational expenses which could include resources such as school supplies/stationery, uniforms, travel fares (air, bus, train etc.), or equipment (e.g. sports, dance, musical etc.)

Not a member? It's easy to join and you'll still be ahead after the membership fee, and you'll be able to get all of the other benefits ICPA brings to its members.

Our Cunnamulla ICPA Bursary is still open, and it’s there to help with real costs - school supplies, uniforms, travel, and more.

It's open to ANYONE in Cunnamulla (town, property and beyond!) who has kids aged Prep and above, you just have to be a member of the Cunnamulla ICPA.
