Cummins Christmas Wonderland Every December we create the Cummins Christmas Wonderland - a place where people of all ages can experience the magic of Christmas.

Open 10am-5pm from 1st until 28th December except Christmas Day, when we're open from 2-5pm. Entry is a gold coin donation to encourage multiple visits - it's too hard to absorb all of the little details in one visit! We are available for after hours & group visits - please contact us if you're interested. The Cummin's Christmas Wonderland is a hall full of magical displays celebrating Christmas and other children's themes. The Wonderland stemmed from one person's idea, who had envisioned an area featuring a collection of Christmas structures and decorations. It was an immediate success and from that it expanded to a larger venue with bigger and better structures and lighting before becoming self funding with the help of the Cummins District Community Bank, gold coin entry fees and local business donations. With the dedication of the 8-person committee and talented local helpers, this event has become well attended and much anticipated each year. We hope to have you visit our Christmas Wonderland soon!

This year we decided to bring in a new nativity scene. We knew it was going to be different & consequently nervous of the change but we as a committee had trust in Leannes vision. With the help of a couple of grants from our local Community Bank Cummins, Tumby Bay, Cleve and Wudinna Districts we were able to purchase the decorations required to bring this vision to life. And wow what a final result. It is stunning & a huge credit to all involved. Me personally I can't take my eyes off it everytime I walk into the display.

Country Show scene was created by Sandy Jones with the close of Grace Coombs. Isn't it just like a Country show scene with even Bluey making his presence felt. And it pays tribute to a EP icon Mr Ross Story & his horse cart rides.
Sandy with the help of Wendy Holman also decorated outside the front of the hall. With the help of Chris & Fox they hung one of the new editions a big beautiful wire bell which has a bit of history. Our President found it in a vintage / retro shop in Adelaide, it once adorned the front of the Adelaide Town Hall in the 1940's at Christmas time. What a find.
Thankyou Sandy for everything you do for our display.

The children's Christmas playroom was created by the wonderful & talented Ungarra CWA ladies. They are so imaginative & creative & certainly have the knack of finding the right items while perusing the Adelaide streets for hard rubbish. They were very successful this year. Every time you look at this display you see something different from the vintage tree decorations to the dolls house full of action & everything in between. Wait til next years display.
Kaye representing the group. Thankyou so much ladies for bringing so much enthusiasm to our display.

The little room appears every year but it is always different. This year Ingrid Kennerley has turned it into an elegant red & white shop window display. Ingrid has a dream of experiencing a white Christmas where she would walk the markets & take in all the beautiful shop window displays. This display didn't quite go to plan at the beginning so it evolved quite quickly during November. It brings in the modern new look of oversized bows which are just beautiful & brings a real elegant feel mixed with the traditional red poinsettias. Ingrid has the room again next year & it is going to be a totally different look.
Ingrid is not only a creator but is also our President of the committee so works closely with everyone involved, is the front person for media including our page.

The "Polar Express" was a vision of Kim's & Grace Coombs brought it all together with the help of the wonderful Ian. A train was needed which we sourced from market place in Adelaide. It was a basic wooden steam train with 2 carriages. Ian put his creative mind & hands to use & came up with the finished train it is amazing. It t***s the bell rings & plays music. It was made to be as interactive as possible. It certainly has been a highlight for everyone.
Do yourself a favour & watch the movie "The Polar Express".
Grace is a founding creator of the Cummins Christmas Wonderland she has been doing it for 17 years. She is the most creative & resourceful person. Always on the look out for things throughout the year. Her motivation & enthusiasm keeps us all going.
Grace also was responsible for the Polar bear sleigh snow scene. Her attention to the finer details never fails year in year out. Next yeats display will show that even more.
Thanks Grace for everything you do for the Wonderland from the rosters to displays & everything in between.
