💖Some events raise money.
The special ones leave a legacy.
Cudgen Cacklefest was born from a group of creative, committed and hardworking P&C members back in 2023.
What started as a few ideas thrown around a table quickly one night became one of the greatest concepts our little school community has ever seen.
In just three years, Cacklefest became the most successful fundraiser in the 144 year history of Cudgen Public School P&C - raising more than $80,000 for our school, our kids, and the experiences and facilities that make Cudgen so undeniably special.
Somewhere along the way, it became more than just a fundraiser.
It became a date circled on calendars. A night built on locals, generosity, side splitting laughter and deep set community spirit.
So it may come as a surprise to say that in 2025, although unknown to us at the time - we hosted our final Cacklefest as we knew it.
But sometimes even the best things know when to take their final bow.
Cacklefest was never possible without the people behind it. From Andrew Buster Kirby and the incredible comedians he brought our way, to the extraordinary generosity of local businesses and every single person who bought a ticket, donated a prize, volunteered their time or just showed up and laughed with us.
So while wont see Cudgen Cacklefest again in the way we once knew it, we couldn’t close this chapter without saying thank you.
Three years. More than $80,000 raised.
550 people through the doors. 2700 raffle tickets. We did good.
