💗 Act of Kindness

"My seven year old and I made purple cancer bags for some of the children at the pediatric cancer center. Some small items to maybe for just a moment, put a smile on their little faces." - Nicole

💗 Act of Kindness

"There's a man on my way to work that sells the big issue magazine and he is always so friendly, he says hello to everyone and wishes them well. I had made some peanut butter love heart-shaped cookies for work today, so I have him one and he was so delighted, and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. Made my day and I hope it made it his too!" - Tina

💗 Act of Kindness

"On Monday, I gave the gas attendant $10.00 for someone ahead of me counting coins for gas. I hugged everyone at my last chemo treatment and told them thank you for their kindness in the journey on Tuesday. Today I will visit my mother, who's in a nursing home, and we'll pass out treats, jewelery, and hugs." - Lisa

💗 Act of Kindness

"While shopping, an old man came up and yelled at the service desk lady in front of everyone. I told her not to worry, he was probably having a bad day.
I get it all the time, she said, because people are impatient. When I finished shopping, I went and found her and handed her a chocolate and a kindness card and told her I hope her day got better. Her huge smile lit up my heart!" - Anon

💗 Act of Kindness

"The guests of a nursing home were given a red heart which had a hug on it. They had to show the card to people passing by them and when they were hugged, the person had to write their name on the card. It was fun to see how they got their hugs. One man sat near the door and asked everyone who passed." - Anon

💗 Act of Kindness

"In my town all our trolleys are coin trolleys. I was at the supermarket and saw an old man bent-double trying to find a gold coin for a trolley, so I gave him one. He in turn tried to give me some silver coins but I said it was ok. Felt good." - Anon

When your friend sends you a screenshot of something you said many years ago, it makes you feel a little warm glow.

Thanks to Power of Positivity and Barbara Gruener for making my day a little brighter!

Do you use coloring as a filler activity for your kids?

If you think you're just giving them something fun to do or yourself a few minutes of peace (we've all done that!), think again.

Coloring activities are shown to be a lot more beneficial than you may think. Coloring helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye corordination, and spatial awareness. PLUS it's an effective way to nurture wellbeing.

Coloring is a mindfulness activity that can help calm kids to reduce stress, anger, and anxiety.

Bring some Zen into your kid's life (and yours) with this lovely, peaceful activity. You can even nurture positive character traits when you choose coloring pages with positive images and words.

Today marks the beginning of Random Acts of Kindness Week, with the official day falling on February 17th. But let’s not limit ourselves – we’ve got the whole week to make a difference!

Did you know? It turns out that being kind doesn’t just benefit the person on the receiving end. Studies have found that the person doing the kind deed, and even those who just witness it can experience a boost in their mental and physical well-being too!

So, I hope you'll join me in spreading a bit of happiness where you live.

It could be as simple as sending an encouraging text to a friend, helping a neighbor with their groceries, leaving some encouraging rocks in the community, or just sharing a smile with strangers you pass on the street. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, contributes to a ripple effect of positivity.

Let’s light up our corner of the world with kindness this week. Who’s with me? 💗
