Wish to encourage and promote artists, communities, galleries and associated businesses to all art enthusiasts throughout the region & beyond. Through artists and their communities we hope to achieve connectivity throughout the community and bring prosperity to artists and art communities as a whole. Earlier this month our Artists of Crows Nest crew gathered for a beautiful pastel skills workshop led by the wonderfully talented Maxine Thompson. 🧑🏽‍🎨 Pastels are such a unique and tactile medium…the way colour blends beneath your fingertips, rich and deeply satisfying.

There’s something so special about a room full of artists all learning together, pushing outside their comfort zones and supporting each other along the way. That’s the heart of this community.

A huge thank you to Maxine for sharing her knowledge and passion with us so generously. 🙏 And the best news? She’ll be back next year to lead a people portraits workshop — so if you missed this one, keep your eyes peeled! 👀

Our Challenge Journeys — our combined challenge groups exhibition — is now showing at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery, and what a joy it is to see all our hard work on the walls! 🖼️ The opening night was fantastic, with several of our artists coming along to celebrate in person. A heartfelt thank you to Pam and Robyn H. who both spoke so beautifully on the night. 💜

From final works to the pages of our 20-week and 15-week journals, this exhibition captures so much more than art...it captures dedication, growth, and the courage to keep showing up, week after week.

Huge congratulations to every artist who took on the challenge. You should all be incredibly proud. 🙌

Our ‘In the Detail’ exhibition is now open at The Nest Café, Crows Nest! 🎨

The way morning light catches the edge of a leaf… The grain of old timber… The tiny geography of a moth’s wing… The world is endlessly extraordinary, if only we remember to look. 🍃🪵🦋 This exhibition is an invitation to do exactly that. A collection of artistic voices, styles and mediums all pointing at the same thing: the overlooked, the small, the beautiful and easy to miss. On until June 14.

Supporting local art is as simple as showing up — and when the venue is a café this good, it’s hardly a sacrifice. Grab a friend, grab a coffee, and go soak it up before it’s gone. ☕️🖼️🧁🥗

Two challenges. Months of dedication. So much beautiful work. 🎨😍

Earlier this year our members showcased their 15-week and 20-week challenge journals and final artworks across two separate exhibitions at Glen Rock Gallery, Esk. Well, those works are on the move, coming together in one combined installation — ‘Our Challenge Journeys’ — at Wondai Regional Art Gallery throughout the month of May.

‘Our Challenge Journeys’ will open Saturday May 1st at 6:30pm: $5-pp w/ supper provided (+ wine available).

We can’t wait to see all of these fantastic journals and final pieces in the one space! 🖼️
