School for Life Foundation

School for Life Foundation At School for Life, we believe education creates prosperity - and prosperity ends poverty. This is about more than classrooms. We create change.

Our community began with one school in a small Ugandan village, driven by a simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to dream, grow, and thrive. Today, that belief has grown into a global movement that is educating poverty out of existence, building clean, safe schools where education doesn’t just teach - it transforms. Guided by an ethos of relationships, rigour, and real-world

impact, we work shoulder to shoulder with local leaders, educators, and philanthropists. Together, we’re creating opportunities for children - especially girls, who face the steepest barriers - to rewrite their futures, rise above their circumstances, and lead their communities forward. It’s about building futures - futures that ripple through families, communities, and generations. At School for Life, we don’t just educate children. We prove that where you start doesn’t have to define where you go.

A brilliant result for Katuuso Primary School! 🙌

Our students recently took part in the Enjuba Spelling Bee Competition, putting their confidence, preparation and spelling skills to the test. 🥰

We’re incredibly proud of Primary Three students Nakato Anilla, who was crowned champion, and Kaweesa Morgan, who was named 1st runner-up in the junior category. 🏆

And there’s more to celebrate! Eight of our 30 participating students have qualified for the national competition in Kampala. 👏

A huge congratulations to all our students who took part, and to the teachers who worked hard to prepare and encourage them along the way. 💙

We can’t wait to cheer on our eight national qualifiers as they take on the next stage!

Students at Mbazzi Primary School recently took part in their school leadership elections. 🥰

The process gave children the chance to nominate candidates, listen to their peers and vote for the students they wanted to represent them.

For many, it was their first experience of taking part in an election. It gave them the chance to speak up, listen to others and take responsibility for their school community. 🙌

In a safe and supportive school environment, children can begin to see that their ideas matter. Experiences like this build confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging and help them take an active role in the community around them. 💙

Meet Hazara. Before he joined School for Life, he was working as a full time boda-boda (motorcycle) driver.

He was always a very good student. But he had to leave school because changes at his previous school meant his scholarship was cancelled.

And without that financial help, someone needed to provide for the family.

In 2023, he returned to education at School for Life with a School for Life scholarship. 🥰

He excelled in his final exams and went on to earn a scholarship to study a Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management. 💪

Today, Hazara is in his first year at university and has achieved a perfect GPA of 5.0, the highest result in our university scholarship cohort. 🙌

It just shows you that when young people have the opportunity to continue their education, they can achieve extraordinary things. 💙

We're so grateful for your beautiful words, Kim Liddell💙

“So wonderful to celebrate Annabelle Chauncy and the launch of School for Life.

What began with a determination to make a difference has grown into something extraordinary – changing lives through education in Uganda, one student at a time.

And now her story gets to travel even further.

Congratulations Annabelle! Your book is a beautiful reminder that legacy isn't what we leave behind. It's what we set in motion.”
