Who is putting their support behind undergrounding Humelink?

In the election campaign we have had candidates listening to the community advocating for undergrounding Humelink... As Joe McGirr MP has always said, 'It is never too late to do the right thing!'.

We are very grateful of candidates that have met with us, lent us their ears to understand, and have offered us their support.

We have seen one independent candidate, James Gooden publicly put his policy position forward.

It is acknowledged by all candidates that the impact of overhead transmission lines on the liveability, workability and beauty of regions is a very important issue to regional voters and we encourage all candidates to support undergrounding the HumeLink project

Meet the Quilty family, apart from being the most genuine and hard-working people who have such deep respect for the land they tend, they have a rich and long history in their Snowy Valleys location, generations more than most. They do not deserve, nor does anyone, to be pushed in the path of Humelink! Our hearts break that they, and all of us along the destruction path are torn apart, despaired and though our fight has been tenacious, we, the Australian people appear to be powerless against Government and Transgrid's misinformation, bullying tactics and archaic agenda to destroy rather than protect us, our regional communities, our environment and our beautiful rural landscapes.

When profit is put before people, safety, social and environmental benefit, when it has been proven that overhead is by no means the 'cheap' solution! Thank you to the Quilty family for their vulnerability and open and genuine comments in this article. Thanks also to Tumut and Adelong Times for giving the Quilty's a voice.

Thank you to the Tumut and Adelong Times for gaining comment from our community and always thanks to Dr Joe McGirr MP for his comments and support, we know his disappointment runs as heavy on him as it does on us.
It has been an incredibly rough and disappointing couple of weeks for our community, more to come from us over the next few weeks on the devastating impact of Humelink's State Government Approval 😡😥
