🏆 Best Prepared Speech - Hooman

Congratulations to Hooman, our Best Prepared Speech winner! 🎤👏

In What I’ve Learnt From You All, Hooman reflected on the lessons he has picked up from fellow Toastmasters - even opening his speech with a memorable verbal-film-style introduction.

A wonderful reminder that at Toastmasters, we learn from each other every time we speak.

🏆 Best Prepared Speech - John

John took us back to Year 12 in 1996 with Salute to Ms Buckley - a personal tribute to a teacher who made an impact.

Through storytelling and vulnerability, he brought us into what it felt like to be a new student and reminded us how the people who encourage us can stay with us long after we leave the classroom.

Congratulations John on a memorable speech and a well-deserved win! 👏🎤

🏆If Keiran were Prime Minister, Australia would look a little different. 🇦🇺😄

His three policies?

🏠 Flat tax rate
🔨 Get everyone building - so house prices come down
💼 Scrap unemployment - everyone gets a job… and helps build the houses!

A bold policy platform delivered completely on the spot and enough to earn Keiran Best Table Topic. 👏

🏆 Best Prepared Speech

Congratulations to Lincoln, winner of Best Prepared Speech with The Factory Setting’s Dilemma. 🎤

Lincoln explored the “factory settings” we start life with - and the choices we make about what to keep, question or change along the way.

A thoughtful idea made memorable through clear structure, great pacing, gestures and vocal variety. 👏

🎤 What does the voice inside you tell you?

In our winning prepared speech, one of our member shared her experience on learning to recognise the many voices in our internal dialogue - especially the harsh, critical one.

Her honest and vulnerable speech was a reminder that sometimes the voice holding us back is our own.

If your inner voice says “I could never speak in front of a room,” perhaps Toastmasters is the place to gently challenge it.

Congratulations on a thoughtful and courageous Best Prepared Speech. 👏
