There's something for everyone- including live music, art & craft activities and more.

Bring your picnic goodies, food, blankets, family and friends and join in with performers onstage!

Don’t forget to take a wander through the beautiful gardens.

Great news!!

The wonderful Rosa Voto Ustrale & Sanacori Music Ensemble will be performing at our Rainbow Community Picnic on Sunday 29th January.

They will include an audience participation traditional dance in their performance, so we can all get involved and grove along with them 💃💃💃

The Sanacori Music Ensemble is dedicated to Southern Italian traditional dances, and they will be showcasing music & dances with a fresh contemporary feel while keeping truthful to the tradition.

Do you have a passion for storytelling, but don’t know where to start? Or are you interested in writing your own Q***r story? If so, then you may be interested in The Rainbow Writing Workshop with Sam Elkin, co-editor of Nothing to Hide: Voices of Trans and Gender Diverse Australia and host of RRR's Q***r View Mirror.


The workshop will be held during the Midsumma Festival, at Bunjil Place Library. Sam will guide participants in writing their own q***r tales about joy, hilarity and unexpected life lessons. Learn the mechanics of impactful storytelling and then try some writing exercises to spur the imagination. Everyone is welcome, regardless of what experience you have.

When? Saturday 21 January 2023, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Hello again, Folks 👋

Back in 2019, many of our community members asked for the City of Casey to be present at Midsumma Carnival. We have some exciting news… This year it’s finally happening 🎉🌈

The City of Casey will have a stall at Midsumma Carnival on Sunday 22nd January. They will be launching their LGBTIQ+ City of Casey Action Plan Survey, and sharing events & networks within Casey to people visiting the stall.

What’s even more exciting, is that Shelley Karpathakis, Mental Wellbeing and LGBTIQA+ Advisor at City of Casey, has offered members of Casey Rainbow Community the opportunity to join the Casey stall for an hour at any time between 12-3pm. We are invited to discuss the network and share details about future events with the public.
