🌟 May is Youth Service Month in Rotary International.

A time to celebrate the incredible impact we make when we invest in young people! 🌱✨

Across our clubs and districts, Rotarians are creating opportunities for youth to grow, lead, and thrive. From supporting Interact and Rotaract clubs 🤝, to mentoring young leaders through programs such as RYLA and RYPEN 💬, and backing local initiatives — every effort helps shape confident, capable future community leaders. 🚀

💡 Youth Service isn’t just a program area — it’s a commitment to the future of Rotary and the communities we serve.

When we empower young people, we strengthen Rotary for generations to come. 💙💛

Last night we were privileged to have Lionel Lauch and Heidi Duell attend our meeting to tell us about Living Culture. Living Culture is an Indigenous led organization on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia, providing cultural, environmental, educational and holistic healing programs to schools, organizations and the general public. Fantastic night. Thank you Lionel and Heidi.

Are you 18-30 years old, or a business with future young leaders? Rotary 9790 have the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) coming up this November and we’d love to sponsor you or one of your employees for the program!

It’s a great experience to develop communication skills, public speaking, leadership and teamwork skills. Build on your current strengths and become a strong, confident young leader!

RYLA is an inclusive, collaborative week-long adventure that promotes good over health and wellbeing and encourages young leaders to step out of their comfort zone.

There were heartfelt scenes in South Australia’s Mid North as a convoy of 23 trucks rolled into Jamestown, carrying 1,500 bales of donated hay.

For drought-stricken farmers, it brings a few precious weeks of relief—and a glimmer of hope—as their battle for survival grows increasingly dire 💔

The 1,500 bales of hay delivered to Jamestown were donated and transported by the Rapid Relief Team (RRT), the charitable arm of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church. This initiative was part of RRT’s Farmers Community Connect event, aimed at supporting drought-affected farmers in South Australia’s Mid North. The hay, sourced from Queensland, was transported by a convoy of 23 trucks driven by RRT volunteers, many of whom are farmers themselves.

Additionally, other charitable organisations, including Aussie Hay Runners, Need for Feed, and Rural Aid, have been instrumental in delivering thousands of bales of donated hay to farmers across South Australia.

These combined efforts have provided much-needed relief to farmers facing one of the worst droughts in recent memory.
