This week we celebrate National Carers Week: a time to recognise, celebrate and raise awareness of the more than 3 million Australians who provide unpaid care to a family member or friend.

The 2026 theme, “Care for a carer: Making carers visible,” shines a light on the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers and encourages all Australians to recognise, support and care for the carers in their families, workplaces and communities.

A huge vote of gratitude to all those carers out there - true unsung heroes.

And we learned two fun facts!
1. there is a shop at the shed (great idea if you are looking for something unique - usually open when the shed is)
2. there are more Men's sheds in Australia than McDonalds!
