The Korrine and District Junior Winter competition, comprising of teams from Phillip Island, Westernport, Lang Lang, Korumburra, Leongatha, Inverloch and Wonthaggi, started on May 16th and concluded with the grand finals on August 22nd.
The season consisted of ten weeks of Saturday morning competition where six Phillip Island teams represented pennant through to section 5. Phillip Island teams used both our Cowes courts and Newhaven College courts for home games. We were proud to have four teams represent Phillip Island in the semi finals. It was also great to see several of the teams progressing by moving up a section thus, challenging themselves.
A big congratulations and thank you to Mitch and Eli and their families who have played their way up the junior comp sections to play out their final two seasons in pennant. Both players exhibited constant improvements across their junior careers. In addition, their positive attitudes and smiles have been a huge asset to the club. We wish them the very best as they wrap up year 12.
The junior summer competition will commence on the 10th October, 2026.
