Where Banjo Paterson once found inspiration, today's experience-hungry holiday makers and tree-changing families are also discovering the appeal of a traditional Australian bush life and the natural advantages that this ancient land holds. No longer a secret - the stories, the tastes and the experiences are finally finding their way to the wider world. More and more visitors are winding their way from town to charming town, soaking in the clean air, big skies, breathtaking mountain views and time spent in the great outdoors. 117th Corryong Show is Almost Here!

Get ready for a full day of country show fun in the heart of the Upper Murray!

Kids can enjoy FREE activities including the animal nursery, pony rides, gold panning, interactive science shows, craft activities and inflatable fun. Meanwhile, adults can explore the Corryong Historic Machinery Club display, watch wood chopping, browse local crafts and exhibits, and even snap a photo holding the iconic Melbourne Cup! 🏆

The much-loved Grand Parade returns at 6pm, amusement rides are back, and the night will finish with live music and a spectacular fireworks display.

Whether you're a local or visiting the region, the 117th Corryong Show w is a fantastic way to experience Upper Murray community spirit, country traditions and family-friendly entertainment.

Located on the Murray River Road near Tintaldra, Jim Newman Lookout is one of those stops that makes you pull over and stay a while. Take in sweeping views across the Murray River Valley towards Welaregang and Ournie, enjoy a picnic in the shade, and don't miss the striking metal Bogong Moth sculpture.

Did you know? Each spring, Bogong moths begin one of Australia's most remarkable migrations, travelling up to 1,000 km from breeding areas in southern Queensland, western New South Wales and western Victoria to the Australian Alps. September marks the beginning of this migration period, making now an ideal time to appreciate the moth's connection to our region.

Stand under the Bogong moth's wings and watch the natural sunlight filter through the moth cutouts in its wings or face toward the Murray River Valley and take stunning photos of the river flats and surrounding mountains.

The Thowgla Hall & Recreational Reserve is a much-loved community hub in the Thowgla Valley, just 5 km from Corryong, and a welcoming base for events, gatherings and visitors exploring the Upper Murray.
