🗺️ How to Plan a 4-Day Pathways to Wave Rock Road Trip
Looking for the ultimate Wheatbelt adventure? Take the scenic route through the Roe District with this 4-day self-drive itinerary that links iconic art, natural wonders, and friendly country towns.
Day 1: Beverley → Corrigin
Start your journey in Beverley, just 90 minutes from Perth. Explore the historic railway station turned Beverley Station Arts Gallery, enjoy a coffee on Vincent Street, and enjoy the Beverley Historical Walk. Then head to Corrigin, home of the famous Dog Cemetery and local museum, with charming spots to rest and recharge.
Day 2: Corrigin → Kondinin → Kulin
From Corrigin, cruise into Kondinin to see the to climb Yeerakine Rock for sweeping views. Continue on to Kulin, where the quirky Tin Horse Highway will make you smile, and the town’s hospitality will make you stay.
Day 3: Kulin → Lake Grace → Hyden
From Kulin, travel south to Lake Grace, where you’ll find Western Australia’s only remaining Inland Mission Hospital Museum. Then make your way to Hyden, experience the star attraction—Wave Rock! Don’t forget to snap a “wave rider” photo and explore the surrounding rock formations and walking trails.
Day 4: Hyden → Narembeen → Bruce Rock → Quairading → Home🏡
Begin the return leg by heading to Narembeen and visiting the Grain Discovery Centre, plus the towering Narembeen Hawk sculpture by local artist Jordan Sprigg. Continue to Bruce Rock to explore the Federation Amphitheatre and community museum, then wrap up in Quairading with Toapin Weir or a visit to the Railway Station Visitor Centre, featuring woodwork by the late Ian Wills.
