The Cornish people have a long history and rich traditions. The Cornwall Celtic Experience would like to take people on a Kernow Journey from the Iron Age to the Industrial Age by exhibitions of historical modern and traditional rural skills, arts and crafts. ge up to the modern day from farming to reenactment skills we will focus on education and research into eco-friendly economically sound techniques that can be applied to smallholding and the rural community of Cornwall. By buying several smallholdings we intend to provide good live work opportunities for people who could not afford to live and make a living in our countryside. We will include a battlefield which will be at the center of various events and fayres as well as providing income from reenactors looking for good all weather practice areas. Various courses, country and historical fayres will provide visitors with a real experience of the local area and its traditions and heroes. We intend to operate as a community interest company – a live/work housing community, providing jobs for people locally, sourcing materials from local people and businesses, educating both staff and visitors and preserving traditional country skills and traditions that are sadly dying out. Our mission is to Work with Cornwall to Protect the Future of Cornwall’s Past. Our objective is an eco-friendly, community involving, live/work based company preserving traditional arts crafts and rural skills and encouraging young people and the unemployed into work in these areas. The way we intend to achieve our aims and objectives are as follows:
All residential properties on the land will be occupied by people working on the land.
Other residential properties will rented as part of the housing co-operative.
The visitor attraction will do special deals for people living locally.
10% of the profits will go toward funding concessions on courses for people in severe circumstances.
35% of our profits will be shared pro rata amongst our community share investors.
20% 0f our profits will be shared between the workers on a pro rata basis this may be paid as a taxable bonus or taken as shares in the company (meaning eventually our workers will own the company).
25% of our profits will pay off our investors.
10% of our profits will be put away as contingency money.
We will run clubs for local people and have a volunteer base from among the wider local community (encouraging older people and people who are likely to become isolated to share their skills).
Local projects and organisations will be given reduced fee pitches at events.
We will have a charity box for Clic Sargeant and the British Legion Poppy Appeal plus a box for our own fund.
Once we have a shop we will display local crafts people’s wares for sale on a sale or return basis taking10% of their asking price. This will encourage small local crafts as many places charge for displays.
We intend to promote eco-friendly practices and awareness. Starting with the reduce re-use recycle and repair techniques.
We will run four clubs woodwork, knit and sew, permaculture and mechanics local people will be able to access workshops and equipment for a small fee each year with an expert on hand to help you fix, make or grow what you need.
Forge links with local schools, the workers education association and other organisations that provide education.
Forge links with local organisations that promote health wellbeing arts crafts good environmental practices and community
Practice the permaculture trio earth-care people care and fair share.
Take people on work experience create long term employment from among the unemployed and young people.
Provide education for employees.
Provide low cost workshops to small crafts.

The main adult in any household will be required to work 40 hours per week
Other adults in the household will be required to work 16 hours per week
Saturday jobs will be available for teenagers.
People working 40 or 16 hours per week may be required to do more hours in the summer than the winter therefore the minimum hours required are 2080 hours or 832 hours in a year If overtime is required it will be paid at your current rate of pay.
