Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men, women and animals, who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

At the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month — we will remember them.

🇦🇺🐎 Remembering the Battle of Beersheba – 31 October 1917

Today we honour the brave men of the Australian Light Horse and their loyal Waler horses who made history in the charge at Beersheba.
This remarkable moment showed courage, endurance, and the unbreakable bond between horse and rider — a partnership that helped shape Australia’s story.

We remember their sacrifice and the incredible role the Waler played in that moment of triumph and loss.
Lest we forget. 🌹

This is an important opportunity to come together as a community to reflect on the past year, elect office bearers, share ideas, and plan for the future of the Society and the Waler breed we all value so highly.
