Careship Care farm for people with dementia Care farming is the provision of social care in a meaningful work setting such as a small scale farm.

Careship is a non-profit organisation that aims to establish a (residential) care farm for people living with dementia in Australia. The farm activities consist of snail farming and aquaponics. In the beginning only day care options are available. As more funding comes in, we want to offer respite options and later residential social care.

We have been quiet for a very long time here at Careship Farm. Lots of things needed improving. And although there still is lots of work to be done before we can open again, here is a short overview of what we have been working on behind the scenes:

* Build of 'Yarn Barn'
* Installation of power to barn
* Fitout of accommodation unit / office
All these made possible by a generous sponsorship by Waffles & Jaffles
* Renewal of policies & procedures thanks to the Strong and Resilient Communities (SARC) grant from Volunteering SANT
* Our CEO completed the Bachelor of Dementia Care to provide better support

We are also reorganising our board and management, as well as our programs. Moreover, plans are in place to upgrade the grounds further.

We thank our past clients and future clients for your patience while we ensure our farm can provide a safe and amazing place to grow, connect and feel valued!
