Today, the Friday crew set off to Dubbo for an unforgettable outing to watch the Michael Jackson movie! Anyone who knows Shelly knows she’s a huge MJ fan, so saying she was excited would be an understatement! The pure joy and enthusiasm radiating from everyone (especially Shelly) made the day even more special.

To top it all off, we treated ourselves to some mouthwatering burgers and meals from the Burger Club Lounge. What a fantastic day filled with music, laughter, and delicious food! 🕺🍔✨️

Breakthru hosted our Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday, and what a lovely morning it was! ☕💛

With a room full of people enjoying delicious morning tea and great company, it was a wonderful way to come together and raise funds for such an extremely worthy cause.

It was lovely to see our clients, families, community members, and our special guests — students and teachers from Coona High — all enjoying the morning together.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff member Kirstie for organising the event, along with her offsiders April and Sam, who baked up a storm to help make the morning so special.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea!

🎉☕ Join Us for Breakthru’s Biggest Morning Tea! ☕🎉
Next Thursday, the 21st of May, Breakthru will be hosting our Biggest Morning Tea to help raise funds for the Cancer Council.
Sadly, approximately 1 in 5 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, meaning most of us have either been personally affected or know someone who has. That’s why this event holds such a special place in our hearts.
💛 Entry is just $5.00 per person, payable in cash at the door. Your entry fee includes free food and drinks for the morning, as well as entry into our lucky door prize draw!
Come along for a beautiful morning filled with:
✨ Great vibes
🧁 Delicious sweets and treats
☕ Tea, coffee & good company
🎁 PLUS — we’ve been lucky enough to receive not one, but TWO gift vouchers to give away as lucky door prizes thanks to Krysties Quality Meats and The Coonabarabran Bakery!
Bring yourself, bring a friend, and enjoy a morning of connection, laughter, and community while supporting an amazing cause.
Breakthru families may have already received a note home a few weeks ago, but if you or any other family members would like to attend, please RSVP by Monday the 18th of May.
We can’t wait to see you there!

On Thursday the 30th of April, Breakthru travelled to Gunnedah for the annual Challenge Swimming Carnival, and what an incredible day it was! We had a great mix of swimmers and supporters attend, with several of our clients coming away with well-earned medals.
The excitement and smiles throughout the day were truly amazing. Our supporters brought fantastic energy, cheering on their peers who gave it their all in the pool.
Everyone represented Breakthru with pride, determination, and team spirit—we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!

Remembrance Day 2025
This morning, we attended the Remembrance Day Service at the Town Clock War Memorial. Alison and Grant laid a wreath on behalf of Breakthru, honouring the service and sacrifice of all our men and women who have served our country.
It was wonderful to see so many members of our community come together to pay their respects. A small number of returned servicemen and women were also in attendance — it was truly special to see them there. A special mention to the group of returned veterans and volunteers from the RSL Lifecare Spur Ranch in Sydney and the Coonabarabran Army Cadets who joined the service and added to the significance of the day.
Lest we forget. 🌺

Our Melbourne Cup Luncheon was a great success, with everyone enjoying some lively bidding on the Calcutta, partaking of a scrumptious Chicken and champagne lunch and cheering their horses home in the cup! Aden’s horse was first across the line, followed by Ali’s and Crystal’s. Aunty Carol’s took the dubious honour of the wooden spoon, but that was ok because that saw a prize as well. As the saying goes, winners are grinners, and April is a picture of that, taking out the staff winner takes all sweep 😁 🏇 🏆 💰
