🦁 Helping maintain independence in our community

Upper Coomera Lions Club, together with several other Lions Clubs, was proud to help fund a WYMO wheelchair hoist for a local lady living with MS.

The new hoist means she is able to transport her wheelchair more easily and maintain her independence, while continuing to contribute and help others in her community.

A big thank you to Andrew from Alternative Mobility for fitting the WYMO hoist and helping bring everything together.

This is a great example of what Lions Clubs achieve when we work together to support people in our local communities. 💙💛

Community working together 🧶💛

The Lions Club of Upper Coomera was proud to support the Gold Coast Knitting and Crocheting Club by funding materials for their important community work.

The club’s talented volunteers knit and crochet blankets, beanies, scarves, children’s jumpers and baby outfits. These handmade items are distributed through around 45 charities, helping children, families and people facing difficult circumstances.

A huge thank you also goes to Spotlight Upper Coomera. Their team generously discounted the materials and then matched our donation, doubling the impact of our contribution.

This was a great example of local groups and businesses working together to support people across our community.

Thank you to the Gold Coast Knitting and Crocheting Club for the time, care and skill you put into every item. We look forward to seeing these materials turned into something special.

Before our BBQ even hit full swing yesterday, two of our amazing Lions members, Shirley and Carole, were already hard at work at the entrance to Bunnings Oxenford, selling fresh homemade scones.

Their enthusiasm, friendly smiles and dedication were rewarded with an incredible result. They virtually sold out the entire day's supply during the morning shift.

A huge thank you to Shirley and Carole for representing Upper Coomera Lions Club so proudly. Your hard work and commitment helped make the day such a great success.

We are also grateful to everyone who stopped by to support us. Every purchase helps us continue serving our local community and worthwhile causes.

Another fantastic community day at Bunnings Oxenford.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to grab a sausage, enjoy a chat and support a great cause. Every purchase helps make a difference.

The Lions Club of Upper Coomera proudly looked after the morning shift, with the Lions Club of Tamborine Mountain taking over for the afternoon. It was a great example of Lions working together to support our communities and our farming families through Farm Angels under this Bunnings initiative.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, our friends at Bunnings Oxenford, and everyone who came along to support us. Your generosity and community spirit are greatly appreciated.

What a wonderful morning celebrating Mother’s Day with residents, families, friends, and staff at Arcare.

Upper Coomera Lions Club members were proud to help with a special Mother’s Day Morning Tea filled with laughter, conversation, beautiful treats, and plenty of smiles.

A big thank you to the Arcare team for their warm hospitality and support in creating such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved.

We also thank all Lions members and volunteers who helped make the morning such a success.

Community connection matters, and mornings like this remind us how important simple acts of kindness and companionship are.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums, grandmothers, carers, and mother figures in our community. 💐
