Four of our athletes traveled to Brisbane during the school holidays to compete at the Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships and the Australian Athletics Junior Championships.

Our athletes performed exceptionally well among a very high calibre of competition and did them selves, our club and Team Capital Athletics proud.

Sebastian Andrews competed in the ALAC U/12 boys
14th in Discus 27.98m PB
20th in Shot Put 8.88m
19th in Javelin 18.49m
17th in Triple Jump 7.52m

Emily Payne competed in the ALAC U/13 girls
13th in Javelin 25.17m PB
19th in 80m Hurdles 15.31 PB
18th in 200m Hurdles 32.55 PB
18th in 400m 1.05.67 PB
15th in 800m 2.36.55 PB

Australian Junior Champs results.

Arabella (U16 Hammer) and Tyler (U20 High Jump) joined 2800 athletes at the Australian Athletics Junior Championships. Both girls performed well, with Arabella securing 15th place with a throw close to her pb.
Tyler jumped well, narrowly missing her season-best height.

It is with great sadness to share the recent passing of Lynette Stead (1949-2026). Lynette was a Life Member of Cooma Athletics and Little Athletics ACT, and was instrumental to Cooma Athletics and our local community.
Our deepest sympathies are with the Stead family at this time. Lynette will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

With the delightful weather forecast for the next few days we have decided to change the location of our presentation day from Snowy Oval to the CAR CLUB.

We will be offering bacon and egg rolls for breakfast from 9.30am before we kick off at 10am.

Some other points to note for Saturday.

⭐️We would love if all athletes could attend wearing their uniform.

⭐️ There will be free sausage sandwiches afterwards for all our wonderful athletics community. There will be other canteen items available to purchase as well including those trusty bacon and egg rolls!

We look forward to welcoming you to our now warmer and more comfortable presentation day on Saturday!

• CONGRATULATIONS •

We have had another 3 athletes from our club selected to represent ACT in the Australian Athletics Championships (Juniors and Opens)in Brisbane next Month.

Congratulations to the following athletes on their selection in their qualified events!
