A big thank you to everyone who attended and/or sponsored this years' Sportsman's Lunch, held at the Coolum Beach Hotel on Friday June 26. Thanks also to our two speakers, Tony Shaw and Travis Norton, and the emcee of the day Tony Durkin.

In the photo we are receiving our share of funds raised from the lunch which help us continue to support our community - "Local People" Local Impact".

Congratulations to Lyndal who won one of our five meat trays on Friday evening at the Coolum Beach Hotel. We are there every Friday from 4pm and every other Saturday from 2PM (We'll be there this Saturday!)

Also every Saturday at the Coolum Beach Sports Club from 12 til 2PM for three meat trays and Sports Club vouchers.

A fundraising event for Bloomhill Cancer Care

We have quite a few doctors in the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra, and two of our Board members Dr Emma Secomb and Dr Andrew Paszkowski have been hard at work organising the Australian Doctors Orchestra 2026 Sunshine Coast charity concert at The Events Centre Caloundra 2pm, Sunday July 26th.Each....

On Friday, 26th June, the annual Coolum Men's Shed and Lions Coolum Beach Sportsman’s lunch was held at the Coolum Beach Hotel.

What a great Day with over 130 attendees!

A big thank you to our guest speakers, Collingwood and AFL legend Tony Shaw and NRL champion Travis Norton for providing the “entertainment”. Plenty of stories from their careers plus some wonderful insights into the AFL and NRL of today.

TonyDurkin once again did a fabulous job as the emcee for the day.

Thank you to Dean and the team at CBH for providing a wonderful lunch, great service, and ensuring none of the attendees went thirsty!

This event is a joint fund-raising effort for the Men’s shed and the Lion Club. The funds raised are invaluable to both clubs and your support is very much appreciated.

Note. Tony hung around for a few drinks, many chats with fans, and purchased a few raffle tickets in the Lion's raffles. He managed to win himself a meat tray, which he gifted to another patron. What a legend!
