unChanged 2025

unChanged was the first CAP exhibition in December 2024 and the concept proved successful.

This is thanks to the amount of photographic contributions from community and because an unused space had been activated in a collaboration between the Body Corp, sponsors and community.

This second exhibition in 2025 uses some of 2024’s images shown again, some ‘classic Coolum’ images that have been offered to show and some fresh images that we requested - images that inform us of - ‘Coolum now
From over 50 submissions, the committee selected and printed seven images which best represents a cross section of 'UnChanged - Coolum now'. These artist were paid a small amount, thanks to fundraising efforts and the support of the community. Below are their images. You can also view them in Galley Lane over the summer along with the wonderful selection of photos from Coolum's past.

FREE Community Surf Art 🖼️ 🏄‍♂️

The Coolum Art Project launched their new exhibition tonight which showcases the work of local artist Owen Surf Art - Solearte Australia.

Owen is not one to take all of the spotlight and he is also celebrating other artists via his display, many of which are featured at his gallery and workshop out in the Quanda Industrial Estate in Coolum.

The ‘Galley Lane’ space is located between the Frank St carpark and David Low Way shops in Coolum and is FREE.

Did you catch our UnChanged exhibition in Galley Lane last summer?

CAP [Coolum Art Project] is revisiting the this theme again this year and is now calling for artists and photographers in our community to contribute images for the exhibition that say 'Coolum - now'.

All images submitted will be shown digitally in the Galley and the five images selected as ‘iconic’ will be printed and hung with those 5 artists receiving $100 Artist Fee.

A wonderful turnout for the Wild Flow opening last Friday, super choir and another successful fundraiser.

Thanks to 'An Achoired Taste', and to Clayden artists for their raffle donation (winner Craig Dalgliesh) and to Tess for the proceeds of the wildflower cards. One of the purposes of CAP is to help artists be successful.

A big congratulations to the Wild Flow team on their wonderful work, if you haven’t seen it yet, come down to Galley Lane and check it out.
