Good morning to Canola Way branch of Can Assist members and non-members.
We will be having our AGM meeting on Wednesday 9th September at 6.30pm at Coolamon Sports and Rec Club.
During this meeting, we will be selecting a new committee. If you are interested in becoming a committee member, you must be a Canola Way member.
To be a member requires a$5.00 annual fee. This fee covers insurance cover while attending or volunteering at a Can Assist event.
After the next committee has been appointed, a normal meeting will be held.
Please come along and be a part of a great organisation that is an essential part of the community.

When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the impact reaches far beyond the individual. It's a partner, a parent, a grandparent, a friend or a neighbour. In an instant, life can be turned upside down. The diagnosis, appointments, decisions and uncertainty can leave patients and their families feeling overwhelmed at a time when they need support most.

That's why your support matters.

As part of the Can Assist family, our branch is powered by local volunteers, donors and supporters who believe no one should face cancer alone. Together, we can help people in our community access the practical and financial support they need throughout their cancer journey.

As the end of the financial year approaches, there are many ways you can make a difference:

🀝 Every hand helps – Volunteer your time and skills.
πŸ’š Every donation matters – Make a tax-deductible gift before 30 June.
🏑 Every dollar raised stays local – Supporting people in our community when they need it most.

When someone in our community is diagnosed with cancer, life can change overnight. Along with treatment comes the cost of travel, accommodation, medication and everyday expenses.

That's where our volunteers step in. Every day, our people are helping local families through some of life's toughest moments. That support is only possible because of our community. The people who volunteer, donate, fundraise and look out for one another.

One thing we hear far too often is: "I didn't know Can Assist could help with that." We want to change that.

Did you know our branch may be able to help with:
πŸš— Fuel costs for travel to and from treatment
🏑 Accommodation while away from home
πŸ’Š Treatment-related medications
πŸ›’ Everyday living expenses, such as utility bills and grocery vouchers

Please share this post. You never know who among your family, friends or neighbours may need our support one day. Together, we can make sure more people in our community know that help is here before they need it.
