Paws Darwin is a charitable organisation DGR providing a re-homing program for abandoned or unclaimed animals, as well as several canine management classes

PAWS Darwin is a rehoming centre for animals in the Darwin and surrounds area, but it is also a place where pet owners can get advice and help to manage their pets before they get to the too hard stage. We believe that by providing the skill set needed to support people who love animals we can change the out come for many individual pet owners, we focus on local issues and local pets with local pe

ople. Our classes are designed to teach owners how to mange their pets quickly and effectively and to get great results in a short time frame.

It was a busy day at the PAWS shop this Saturday!

Despite a challenging week, we had a series of wins for the animals, with the lovely Jen from Palmerston foster-failing and adopting the very lucky Bluey, and the equally lucky Benny finding a forever home with one of our returning carers, Ian.

We also found foster homes for Angel the cat and Gracie, who is settling in comfortably at her new home with her fellow PAWS alumni, Nibbler and Sprocket.

Thanks also to the generous people who visited and donated a much need supply of old sheets and towels. They are already in use!

When Benny first arrived in our care, he struggled with his eating, but with time, patience, and lots of reassurance, he has blossomed into a happy boy who now gets excited when it's dinner time and happily tucks into every meal. Watching his confidence grow has been wonderful, and he's ready to continue his journey with a family of his own.

Benny has the sweetest personality and thrives on human companionship. His favourite place is right by your side, whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon together. He's a loyal companion who just wants to be included in everyday life.

He is also a wonderful housemate, happily sharing his space with other dogs and showing no signs of food aggression. Benny is polite, easy-going, and enjoys curling up in his comfy bed after a day spent with his people.
