✨ New Toy Spotlight - Examine & Treat Pet Vet Play Set ✨

Give young animal lovers everything they need to examine and treat pretend pets! This toy was recognized by toy experts for how it helps kids develop empathy.

We love the detailed accessories that provide everything your little ones need to become immersed in imaginary vet play. There are bottles, tubes, and tubs of pretend treatments and ointments, bandages and a cast for boo-boos, and even a neck "cone".

✨HANDY TOY BORROWING REMINDERS ✨

Whether you’re a new or long term member we know that sometimes it’s hard to remember the ins and outs of toy borrowing so we’ve made a handy guide you can save for later 😊

Our Handy Reminders
When you borrow a toy, remember to check the pieces against the toy list within 24 hours of getting home

If anything doesn’t look right or is missing, get in touch by email or text message to let us know

Clean toys before return to get them ready for the next borrower.
Tip: clean the night before so everything’s fully dry before it goes back in its packaging.

Do one last piece count before return.
If something’s missing, just let us know when you return the toy.

If you’ve been considering joining the toy library but weren’t sure what is involved in taking toys home it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Early Learning Matters Week 2026 💛🧸

We loved celebrating across both our Coolalinga and Katherine Toy Libraries, sharing the importance of early learning at home with our families. 💛

At Smile-A-Mile, we believe early learning happens everywhere...especially at home, every day, through play!

Toy libraries help make that possible by giving parents and caregivers access to quality toys & resources and practical play ideas that support children’s learning and development during those all-important early years.

The fabulous ELMW resources, books and goodies were an added bonus! 📚✨

A big thank you to Early Childhood Australia - NT for championing Early Learning Matters Week across the Territory, and Toy Libraries Australia for continuing to highlight the important role toy libraries play in children’s early learning.

Because early learning matters & so does taking it home! 🏡🧩

Have you ever seen a toy on the shelf in the toy library and wondered... what is that toy for?

The HART easy catch ball is one of those balls that is super eye catching but often raises an eyebrow then is quickly borrowed once it’s explained :)

The ball has unique loops that makes learning to catch easier. It’s the perfect size for small fingers to grip it easily through the gaps, and the vibrant colours make it simpler to track the ball through the air. This is a favourite with our members learning to catch and throw!
