As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, Gungarde Community Centre Aboriginal Corporation is coordinating a special community event called Stories That Shaped Us on Tuesday 2 June at the Gungarde Hall.

The event aims to bring people together through storytelling, shared histories, culture and connection β€” embracing this year’s NRW theme, ALL IN.

Gungarde is currently inviting community groups, organisations and local people who would like to be involved in shaping or participating in the event to get in touch.

Cook Shire Council is proud to support this initiative alongside other local groups and organisations.
