The NSW Youth Beach Series is a beach series run by clubs to provide more playing opportunities and nurture the growth of youth athletes across the state. Round 4 of the series was held at Coogee last Saturday 13th December, coinciding with CBVA’s End of Year Celebrations = a buzz filled Sat Arvo with
extra hype and cheer for the juniors! The comp also had 76 attendees - a new record. Congratulations to all athletes- and a special call out to medal getters. The next round of the Jnr Series will be the Youth Championships held in Woonona on the 24/25th Jan. Goodluck to all attending!

Shout out to Anderson’s Ice Cream for supporting the prizes and tournament volunteers (and our refreshing sugar cravings all summer long)

Hey all! Some fantastic achievements from our Juniors in the Manly Youth Beach Series last Friday 3rd Oct

🥈U16 Girls ( Alegra 12yo and Mia 13yo)
— inspired the crowds in their final match, losing to older opponents but displaying incredibly quality play
🥇U15 Boys ( Issac 13yo and Adam 13yo)
- fantastic play all day to take out the Gold!
🥇U18 Girls (Amelia 15yo and Skyler 15yo)
- consistency is key! Undefeated in all games
🎖️U18 Girls (Bella 13yo and Maggie 14yo) lost the semi finals in a very difficult and close game of 3 sets, despite the big age difference of the opponent team.

Leaving us all with this adaptable quote : “Playing up means growing faster — every challenge is a chance to rise higher.”🤩

A huge congratulations to (Cooper Ryan) who’s been selected to represent Australia in the World Championships in Doha from 5th (today) -12th October in the U18s!

Cooper started under the wing of CBVA Juniors coach Marcos as a 13-year-old and trained in club’s senior Squad Program last year. He continues to play regular adult matches, when possible, at Coogee.

Cooper’s journey and dedication has seen him skyrocket towards his goals and we him the best of luck as he dons the Green and Gold in Doha 💪

Originally from Brazil, Fernando is a former professional beach player with over 10+ years coaching experience in both indoor and beach. With a bachelors in Physical Education, Level 2 Certifications in 2 countries and a focus on high performance game-based training- we are extremely grateful to have Fernando as part of our dedicated team to foster our CBVA athletes to achieve their goals.
