If you’re Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and interested in expanding your skills in oral health, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain a nationally accredited qualification with direct industry connections.
TAFE NSW, alongside the University of Sydney, is offering a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting – Oral Health Promotion, designed to deepen your knowledge and build the confidence needed to support communities with quality oral health education and clinical practice.
📘 ABOUT THE PROGRAM
You will develop skills in:
🦷 Oral health promotion & education
🧤 Advanced infection prevention & sterilisation
📋 Clinical support processes
📡 Radiography assistance
🌿 Community-focused oral health strategies
This qualification also strengthens pathways into further study at the University of Sydney (eligibility criteria apply), including the Bachelor of Oral Health.

Training commences: Wednesday 4th February 2026
Clinical Block 1:

📍 Sydney Dental Hospital
Clinical Block 2:
📅 Monday 15 June Friday 19 June 2026
Duration: 6 months
