Concord Rotary Members in Action!!

Did you know Concord Rotary Club, lead by our community services director, Richard Bell, is actively involved with the MediShare Ltd a subsidiary of Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS).

MediShare collects surplus medical equipment, sorts, cleans and facilitates this equipment being sent overseas to communities in need.

Our members are involved with the collection and sorting of the equipment, travelling to medical facilities within Sydney, taking trucks up to Newcastle and Wollongong to collect these items.

This is an inspiring environmentally sustainable program which saves medical equipment and supplies no longer needed in our society from going to landfill and helps other communities in need.

Thank you Grant for sharing your experience from your attendance at the Rotary International Convention, in Taiwan June 2026. Around 38,000 Rotarians attended from around the world, the President of Taiwan opened the convention mentioning the importance of World Peace and that Rotary's strength is about ordinary people being involved with remarkable activities.

Grant commented that the volunteers very fantastic. He also said there was so many wonderful ideas to learn about over the 5 days and he was overwhelmed by the friendship, inspiration and motivation he felt by attending the convention

Great evening at our meeting……Concord Rotary members lead by our President Michael involved in First Aid training at our meeting last Monday evening….July 20th at Massey Park Golf Club.

Concord Rotary held the Club’s changeover last Monday July 6th 2026 at Massey Park GC, with the theme a touch of Black and White. At the meeting Ian Gilkes handed over to Michael Brown our Incoming President. Our Special guests were Mayor of Canada Bay, Michael Megna, Past District Governor Di North and Superintendent Christine McDonald from Burwood Police Area Patrol, who spoke about her commitment to Community and Service.

This morning, April 25 2026, Concord Rotary Club attended a moving Anzac Dawn Service at the Concord Pavilion of Honor in Queen Elizabeth Park. The Concord Pavilion was erected by the citizens to perpetuate the memory of those who served in World War I and II

At the completion of the service Concord Rotary Club members and friends served sausages sandwiches to those who attended.
