National Reconciliation Week (May 27-June 3) is a reminder that reconciliation isn’t something we watch from the sidelines - it’s something we all take part in. This year’s theme, All In, calls on every Australian to play an active role in building stronger relationships, deeper understanding, and a fairer future for First Nations peoples ⚖️🌱

For us, Walking Together means showing up with respect, listening to truth, and taking part in the everyday actions that help repair harm and strengthen community 👣

Show up and go All In on the local events happening in your community throughout the week, including:

❤️ Berri - This morning
Morning tea, music and yarning at Riverland ADAC | 10am–2pm | Open to all community.

💛 Mount Gambier – This afternoon
Connect with community at Grant High School | 3:30pm-5pm | Celebrating First Nations culture together.

🖤 Murray Bridge – Tuesday, June 2
Reconciliation BBQ at Moorundi ACCHS | 11:30am-1:30pm | Hosted with South Australia Police and lunch prepared by Murray Bridge High School (Official) students. All welcome.

If you can, head along, connect with community, and be part of the work that moves us forward. All In means all of us - every day - Walking Together.

National Sorry Day is a time to reflect, but it’s also a reminder that reflection alone isn’t enough. This year’s theme, From Sorry to Action, calls on all of us to move beyond acknowledgement and take steps that genuinely support change 👣

On May 26, we honour the Stolen Generations and recognise the ongoing impact of their experiences. It’s a moment to listen, to learn, and to consider how we can contribute to healing in ways that are practical and respectful.

For us, Walking Together means showing up with intention - being open to truth‑telling, supporting justice, and taking actions that help repair what has been harmed. Not grand gestures - everyday commitments that build trust and momentum over time.

We encourage you to mark National Sorry Day and join us in making this part of a long‑term effort toward healing and accountability 🌱

The colder months are here, and many people across our region are experiencing tougher times and looking for a bit of extra support. The 2026 Limestone Coast Blanket & Winter Warmer Appeal invites our community to come together and help bring warmth to local individuals and families this winter 🧥🧤🧣

Every donation of blankets, warm clothing, beanies, gloves, socks or bedding helps someone stay comfortable and supported through the colder weather. Please donate items in new or near‑new condition to the locations highlighted on the flyer 📍

Thank you to SAFM 96.1 Limestone Coast/Triple M Limestone Coast and Park Drycleaners for generously standing with us again this year 💙🧡

Donations are also being accepted at our ac.care Berri Community Centre and ac.care Murraylands Centre, supporting people in the Riverland and Murraylands who are experiencing hardship and may appreciate a little extra help this winter.

Together, we can make winter warmer for those who need it most.

Tess didn’t set out to be anything extraordinary - she simply wanted to help. Ten years later, she’s cared for toddlers, teens, and young adults, keeping siblings together and giving each child the chance to grow with confidence and connection ✨

Her story, featured in The Mt Barker Courier for National Volunteer Week, is a powerful reminder that ordinary people can create extraordinary change 💙🧡 Visit https://www.courier.net.au/ to read her story in this week's digital edition.

If her journey inspires you, take the first step toward becoming a foster carer.
