Another working bee completed last week of hand-tool refurbishment, cleaning, and packing for the Tools for Timor project of Como Rotary. All up we packed 21 boxes of tools and five lots of gardening implements. A very special thanks goes to Dennis Menzies of Como Rotary, Peter Repton from the Manning Mens Shed and Kim Mitchell from the Hand Tools Society for the collecting, storage, sorting and preparation of the tools etc, without which this consignment would not have been possible. The boxes and packs of larger tools were delivered to the shipping container team on Saturday 8th August.

COMO ROTARY CLUB RAISES $1,800 FOR MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION OF WA

On Sunday, I joined the Rotary Club of Como at Burswood Park to put on a Sausage Sizzle for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA's Walk to Defeat MND 2026.

It's always a pleasure to work with the Rotary Club of Como, and we enjoyed helping to feed the hungry walkers and their supporters.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA delivers person-centred support and specialist care to people affected by MND in Western Australia. The approximately $1,800 raised will be donated to the Association to assist with their valuable work.
