Today, Collie RSL led the commemorative march up Forrest Street, finishing at Soldiers Park, to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of our Vietnam veterans.

Days like today remind us of the importance of coming together as a community, sharing stories, showing respect, and ensuring the service and sacrifice of our veterans is never forgotten.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming response to our call-out for fabric and sewing supplies for our safeSPACE program. ❤️

Our young people have been busy creating and are so excited to have so many new fabrics and materials to choose from. Your generosity is helping them learn new skills, express their creativity, and take pride in what they make.

Tonight, Linda will sleep homeless in the park alongside the Rotary Club of Collie and like minded community members—not because they have nowhere else to go, but to stand in solidarity with those who do.

For too many men, women, and children across the Collie region, homelessness is more than a single night without shelter. It's uncertainty, isolation, fear, and the daily struggle of not knowing where the next meal will come from or where it's safe to sleep.

Tonight is about bringing those stories into the light and raising awareness of the urgent need for more accommodation, meals, support services, resources, and hope for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Together, we can help change lives. Together, we can ensure more people have a safe place to call home.

Because home is more than four walls and a roof. It's safety. It's dignity. It's belonging.

Every person deserves that. ❤️
