Aussies taking it to the world! ๐ฆ๐บ ๐
A massive congratulations to Team Australia on their efforts at the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE)!
With plenty of familiar faces from our own racing community representing Australia on the world stage, it's been awesome to follow their efforts across six gruelling days of racing.
From our local tracks to the world stage, it's bloody good to see! ๐ค๐ผ
Team Australia has left the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) with a trophy among its baggage, thanks to a second-place finish in the womenโs competition.
The Australian women were narrowly beaten by the formidable United States team, which has now claimed the 6Days trophy four years in a row.
Australia was fewer than 10 minutes behind the winners after six days of racing.
Aussie Jess Gardiner, in her 14th appearance at the ISDE, was full of praise for her teammates after the result.
โTo be able to stand on the podium in second place is something that never gets old and is super special,โ she said.
The Aussies narrowly missed out on a podium in the Junior World Trophy race, ending the week in fourth place.
Junior rider Will Dennett, of NSW, left on a positive note by going quickest in the final stage.
โIโm stoked because I knew I could do it and I knew I had the pace to win and I proved it,โ he said.
Australiaโs World Trophy team lost any chance of a good result when a mechanical failure halted rider Korey McMahon's progress on the opening day of racing.
But they pushed through to the end, finishing 17th overall.
