MacsCrankIt Foundation (MCF) is a nonprofit agency whose aim is to change lives and empowering individuals and communities through sports and community service. Our aim is to unite different sports organizations and to promote discipline in every athlete, respect towards every individual and to inspire others through example. Through these guiding principles, we will be able to help others because we can.
Aside from providing services, we will be utilizing the means of gathering donations from private organizations from all over the world to fund the cause of our foundation which is to support the volunteers in funding outreach activities/programs to travel to places struck by calamities.
The program will form partnerships with private organizations as well as local government offices from all the districts in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. MacsCrankIt’s goal is to foster a commitment to underprivileged people for them to promote literacy,
livelihood and social development programs to improve the socio-economic status of the people under the care of our foundation. We believe that by improving these aspects we can emphasize a sense of hope in the future.
Throughout the past few years, we have been able to help different places rehabilitate their sports facilities as well as aligning the knowledge of the local coaches through a community coaching conference.
1. History
i. Where it began – From its humble beginnings in Sydney back in 2014, MAC’s CrankIt Tennis Academy started from sponsoring Filipino kids with potential in tennis but no means to support the expenses of the sport to compete outside the country. Aside from the Training program that is used to develop these young athletes, MCTA also sent financial support for coaching equipment and court hire including the living expenses when competing abroad for three months.
ii. MCTA in the Philippines – When other people in the tennis community learned the method of ex*****on of our Tennis Program. We were invited to be a part of coaching conferences around the Philippines in order to impart the knowledge and method of how to professionally train coaches in properly run clinics coinciding with tennis competitions using the Australian Standards (ATPCA).
As of this year, the players under the program who showed promise and met the criteria for selection will be sponsored to train and compete in Australia to give them the opportunity to showcase their talents and develop their skills in tennis.
i. Why do we push for MAC’s CrankIt Foundation? – During the period of the implementation of the previous program, there was a realization that there are an immense number of underprivileged people in the community that needs support in livelihood and in education. Due to this, we are now in the process of tying up with Government and Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s) as well as to different Foundations to reach out to their communities in on how we can offer support to their families in order to uplift not only their livelihood and education, but also their socio-economic status of these communities as well.
In Australia, we plan to reach out to indigenous people, children in foster homes and correctional facilities to mentor them and provide support in uplifting their well-being.
2. Objectives
i. Our MISSION – To provide community services without delay in empowering the livelihood of all those who are in need of our support around the world through Sports and Recreational Activities, Education, Donations and Relief goods.
ii. Our VISION – A world where diverse people from all across the globe have a community wherein they are helping each other lift others, their families, and themselves through the use of productive livelihood methods and sports.
MacsCrankIt Foundation (MCF) has ties with different sports facilities in catering to the coaching conferences in spearheading the programs of the organization which is to promote discipline in everyone, respect for others and to self, and to inspire through example. We aim to align the coaching styles of each coach to the mission and vision of the MacsCrankIt Foundation which is “Discipline + Respect = Inspire”.
MCF also has strength and conditioning coaching program wherein the participants learn how to balance and develop themselves and their athletes through a systematic flow of activities arranged to build a competent and competitive physique. We also have a regular coaching community conference in order to collaborate and impart knowledge to different people who are interested in being part of our program.
To sum the needs of our foundation, not only do we need financial support for our advocacies, we also are looking for generous partners who can cater the people capacity of our clientele in different locations both in services and in logistics.
Mac’s CrankIt Foundation aims to help people who are in the line underneath the poverty line. Although the Philippines differ from Australia in many ways, they both share similarities when it comes to the need of help from concerned organizations. One of the problems visible in Australia is that there are people living through their daily lives using only the pension that the government offers in order to help people without livelihood. However, this does not suffice given the cost of living in Australia. Moreover, in the Philippines, the clientele is also vast and comes in a variety of factors given that the government does provide livelihood programs, but in reality, it does not cover all the Filipinos who are in need.
When MCF started, we only cater to the tennis community which is a good start because there are a lot of potential athletes that can be developed to be given an opportunity to study using scholarships locally and abroad.
In order to reach out fully to these people, we are developing a screening method to assess the needs of an individual or family to whom we are extending our hands to so that we can properly sort those who need our help the most among those who are just there to be helped by others.
