The skin check volunteers were in Casterton this weekend, a week out from the Australian Kelpie Muster, an annual event held in Casterton, celebrating the town as the birthplace of the Australian Kelpie.
Hosted during the June long weekend, the festival features high-action dog competitions, the Australian Premier Working Dog Auction, and family-friendly activities.
We borrowed one of their cute Kelpies for our photo, and the Lions Club of Casterton will be out in force on the long weekend volunteering.
Thanks to the Lions Club of Casterton for hosting us, we had a lovely weekend while busy doing skin checks. Thanks to the Casterton Memorial Hospital for their contribution to the weekend.

Trustee PCC Delwyn Seebeck presented our volunteer dermoscopist June Underhay with her 1500 skin checks pin. What an achievement! Many thanks to June for her many hours of volunteering (and driving!)! The success of the Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation skin check program is dependent on people like June being committed to the program and providing service to our communities.
If you would like to support us and the likes of June by becoming a volunteer dermoscopist, please express interest via our web site - https://lionsvdcf.org.au/
