Well that’s a wrap for the weekend in Traralgon.
131 skin checks were performed over the two days.
Many thanks to the hard working volunteer dermascopists Tiffany, Debbie and James , driver Ray and admin Les for their contribution.
Apologies to the many people we had to turn away, but the van will be visiting Sale in two weeks and Moe four weeks after that if you would like take the opportunity for a free skin check locally.

☀️ SKIN CHECK TRUCK A GREAT SUCCESS IN TRARALGON

The Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation’s Skin Check and Awareness Unit has received an incredible response in Traralgon today.

Hosted by the Traralgon Lions Club Inc, the mobile service has provided local residents with convenient access to important skin checks and potentially lifesaving health awareness.

The truck will remain in Traralgon tomorrow; however, all available appointments have now been booked—a wonderful indication of how strongly our community values this vital service.

Congratulations to the Traralgon Lions Club and everyone involved in bringing the unit to town. What an amazing service for our community!

Warragul done and dusted , off to Traralgon now for next weekend
Thanks to Bunnings for letting us take up nine of their car parks
Special thanks to the girls Rebecca ,Liz and Olivia for their medical achievements,
Kaye from Moe Lions for keeping control of the administration, Neville and crew from Warragul Lions all volunteers that make this happen,
At Traralgon Saturday is booked out some spots still available on Sunday
After that Sale, Lakes Entrance, Paynesville,Loch Sport then Moe will have the opportunity to check you for skin cancer, contact your local Lions clubs in those areas
Free check ups and some wonderful banter is guaranteed

☀️ FREE SKIN CANCER CHECKS COMING TO GIPPSLAND

The Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation Skin Cancer Check Caravan is heading across Gippsland, offering free skin checks in several local communities.

The upcoming schedule is:

📍 Warragul — 22 & 23 August
📍 Traralgon — 29 & 30 August
📍 Sale — 12 & 13 September
📍 Lakes Entrance — 19 & 20 September
📍 Paynesville — 3 & 4 October
📍 Loch Sport — 10 & 11 October
📍 Moe — 17 & 18 October

The Traralgon visit will be held at the Service Track in Kay Street and is proudly brought to the community by the Traralgon Lions Club.

Booking arrangements and locations for the other Gippsland stops will be provided by the respective local Lions clubs.

A quick skin check could make an enormous difference. If you have noticed a new spot or any change in the size, shape or colour of an existing spot, don’t ignore it.
