After multiple extremely successful safe plate days last year, RoadSafe Otway will once again be hosting a Safe Plate Day at Bunnings Colac on Sunday 10th May 2026 between 10am and 2pm.

The aim of a Safe Plate Day is to make number plates harder to steal reducing the chances of your plates being used illegally in potential criminal activities.

Bring your mum, bring your grandmother, or any special lady in your life to Bunnings this Mothers day, and have their number plates secured with anti theft screws for FREE.
Whilst you're there maybe you could wander the store, find her a present or perhaps treat her to a famous Bunnings snag or two.

This event is generously funded by the Colac Otway Shire Community Grants program.

* Fitting of anti theft screws is FREE and available to all car owners not just mothers.

In 2024, Neighbourhood Houses across Victoria generated $921 million in measurable community value.

This works out to a $21.92 return on every dollar the Victorian Government invests in the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program (NHCP) funding.

All we are asking to continue providing this incredible value for the Victorian Government and for communities is an increase of $11.7 million per year.

That increase of 25% will restore the model laid out in the NHCP guidelines, which is currently falling behind.
