Thank you to every one who followed along as we helped raise awareness for Rural Road Safety Month in August.

RoadSafe Otway would love to thank the extreme generosity of South West Community Foundation for granting us the funds last year to purchase a defibrillator and cabinet for Colac Driver Reviver.

The defibrillator was installed in December last year and is accessible to the community 24hours a day, 7 days a week via a call to 000.

Thank you once again to South West Community Foundation for your amazing generosity in assisting our organisation to help our community with this important life saving device.

August is Rural Road Safety Month. Living in a rural community, this is something especially close to our hearts. So in honour of RRSM, We invited our volunteers and guests attending our monthly meeting yesterday to wear yellow to show our support. Here are just some of our amazing volunteers and guests that wore yellow. A fun little initiative to thank the outgoing executives and welcome in the new executives for the year ahead. 💛💛

If you are passionate about road safety and would like to join our amazing group of volunteers, please reach out. We currently meet on the last Wednesday of each month and have some exciting community events in the planning.

Our next RoadSafe Otway meeting will be held this coming Wednesday 26th August 2026 Colac Uniting Church starting at 11:45am for a quick lunch ahead of the meeting at 12.15pm.
To raise awareness of Rural Road Safety Month we are asking all attendees to wear some yellow.

This International Youth Day, Driver Reviver are celebrating the young people showing up, lending a hand and making a difference in their communities.
From serving responsible energy at Driver Reviver rest stops to reminding their mates to take a break, young people are helping shape safer journeys for everyone.

They are the next generation of road safety champions. And we think that’s pretty iconic. 🌟

Today we would like to thank our littlest and most favourite volunteer, Ruby, who at just 8 years of age has been volunteering with RoadSafe Otway for 1.5 years, and volunteering at Colac Driver Reviver since Christmas Day 2025. The most special little girl, she really brightens up everyone's day not just for her fellow volunteers but also for our weary travellers who stop by. Special occasion or not Ruby is always so generous with her time. She is a true blessing to all of us and we can't thank her enough for all that she does. ❤️🍪☕️
