Harbour Wheelchair Sports
We play wheelchair basketball every SATURDAY 11am-1pm at Sportz Central

Many people with disabilities are unemployed and are often socially isolated. Participating in sporting activities give people in general a sense of belonging and builds confidence and self-esteem simply through getting involved. A few players have dreams of playing their particular sport on a national level, and ultimately represent their country in the Paralympics. One of our goals is to organise a basketball competition in Coffs Harbour one day, and invite an interstate team to showcase the sport to the Coffs Harbour public. It would be a great boost for our players to play in such atmosphere in front of family and friends. It will give our players a taste of what it feels like to momentarily “shine” and be seen in the public domain in an inclusive and positive light. This is the reason why we’re constantly looking for sponsors (once-off or ongoing). If you’re able to help us, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
