Safer Steps, Better Access 🏡

Every home is different, which is why our step modifications are designed and built to meet each client’s individual needs. With a range of materials and colours available, we can create practical solutions that improve home safety, accessibility and independence.

Our builders recently replaced a client’s old, weather-worn timber steps with a new set of timber steps featuring bilateral stainless steel handrails, providing safer access to their front veranda.

At the client’s request, we also painted the new steps yellow, adding a personal touch to their home modification.

The new steps have helped address a potential trip and fall hazard, making it safer and easier for the client to access their home.

11 to 17 October 2026 is National Carers Week.

The 2026 theme, “Care for a carer: Making carers visible,” shines a light on the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers and encourages all Australians to recognise, support and care for the carers in their families, workplaces and communities.

National Carers Week is an initiative of Carers Australia, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services, and coordinated with the assistance and participation of the National Carer Network.

🏡 Improving Access Around the Home

Installing access paths around the home is a simple but effective way to create safer access to commonly used areas such as mailboxes, driveways and clotheslines.

Our experienced builders recently installed this concrete pathway for a client, improving access between their front door and driveway while helping enhance home safety and minimise the risk of falls.

At Accessibility Experts, we custom-build each ramp to meet the individual needs of our clients, helping make homes safer and more accessible.

Our experienced team recently installed this stainless-steel access ramp, replacing an old and unsafe concrete ramp. The new ramp features bilateral handrails and an Enviromesh surface to provide improved stability and help minimise the risk of falls.

Another home made safer, more accessible and easier to navigate. 💙
