You don't need to wait until things feel difficult before taking steps to support your mental wellbeing.

The way we look after our mental health is often shaped by the everyday things we do, from getting active and spending time outdoors to connecting with others, building routines and seeking support when we need it.

Mental wellbeing isn't about reaching a particular destination. It's about taking small steps that support you along the way.

If you need support, call Lifeline anytime on 13 11 14, text us on 0477 13 11 14, or visit lifeline.org.au/chat for online chat and support resources. All crisis support services are available 24/7.

Movement can be a valuable tool for supporting wellbeing, but it's also important to recognise that our needs can change from day to day.

Some days you might feel energised and ready for a challenge. Other days, a slower pace, a gentle stretch or taking time to rest may be what you need.

Supporting your wellbeing isn't about pushing through. It's about paying attention to what your mind and body need and responding with care.

Making room for rest, recovery and flexibility is an important part of looking after your wellbeing too.

If you're finding things difficult, Lifeline is here to listen. Find support options that are right for you: lifeline.org.au/get-help

For Rob, looking after his mental health wasn't about finding one solution. It was about building a range of supports that helped him over time.

From walking alongside others to finding purpose and community, connection played an important role in supporting his wellbeing.

In this episode of Holding On To Hope, Rob shares how everyday actions and meaningful relationships helped him navigate anxiety, uncertainty and some of the most challenging moments of his life.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to check in with yourself and take a moment for your wellbeing.

For some people, that might mean spending time with friends, taking a break, doing something they enjoy or reaching out for support. For others, it could be getting active, going for a walk in nature, taking some time outdoors or finding opportunities to move throughout the day.

There is no single way to support your mental health. What matters is finding what works for you and recognising that every small action counts.

If you need support, explore resources at lifeline.orrg.au/get-help, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, text 0477 13 11 14 or chat online at lifeline.org.au/chat.

We often choose an activity before we think about what we need.

A walk, a stretch, a social sport or time outdoors can all offer something different.

Whether you're looking to clear your head, build momentum, connect with others or boost your energy, thinking about what you'd like to get out of movement can be a helpful place to start.

Explore how different types of movement can support your wellbeing in our Support Toolkit: lifeline.org.au/get-active

A very warm thank you to everyone that showed up for our very first "Mind your Mates" BBQ breakfast this morning.

It was a fantastic morning, enjoying a lovely breakfast and coffee and connecting with community.

A special thanks to our sponsors, Hospitality and BCU Bank.

💙 Remember: Take a moment. Reach out. Check in.

A conversation over coffee could be the moment someone needs to feel supported and reminded they’re not alone.

Because… ONE CONVERSATION CAN CHANGE A LIFE. 💙
