Art of the Japanese Garden: from Tradition to Modernity by Prof Marie Conte-Helm from the UK was an absolute wonder. We have learned to appreciate the beauty in the "simplicity" of those gardens, which were designed following 3 concepts: shade of green as the main color, water representing the sea and well positioned stone for the mountains. Then you follow the path through the garden, crossing the bridge and let your senses awaken by the surrounding nature, the noises of running water and birds, and you feel serenity deeply in your soul and peace in your heart. Thanks so much to Shan Sun, Sogetsu Ikebana Artist for all the floral arrangements offered on display that evening πŸ’šπŸ™πŸŒΏ

Mark Cottle has the captivating rugged voice of an old captain telling us the story of the 1914 Shackleton's expedition in Antarctica and the rescue of his crew after their boat, the Endurance was trapped and crashed in the ice. Australian photographer, Frank Hurley has captured those amazing moments in black and white. Few but the best of his work has been rescued from the destruction. The bravery and the resilience of those men fighting to survive in extreme conditions are incredible. Thanks Mark for having embarked us on this mega adventure in the comfort of our warm seat. It was brilliant.
