让每个家庭的声音被听见｜SSI 多元文化儿童与家庭调查

在澳洲养育孩子，每个家庭都有不同的经历，也可能面对教育、健康、成长、家庭支持及文化适应等方面的挑战。了解不同家庭的需要，有助于让我们的社区变得更加包容与互相支持。

SSI（Settlement Services International，移民安居服务机构）目前正开展有关多元文化儿童与家庭的研究，希望进一步了解多元文化家庭在澳洲养育孩子过程中遇到的困难、需求与建议。

酷本华人社团诚邀大家了解这项调查，并欢迎大家抽空填写问卷，分享自己的经验与看法。

每一份回应，都有助于让不同家庭的经历与需求被更多人了解，也让相关机构有机会更深入地认识多元文化家庭的实际情况。

Every Family Deserves to Be Heard | SSI Multicultural Children and Families Survey

Every family has its own experiences and may face different challenges when raising children in Australia, including education, health, wellbeing, family support and cultural adjustment. Understanding these diverse experiences can help build a more inclusive and supportive community.

Settlement Services International (SSI) is conducting research into the experiences of multicultural families raising children in Australia. The project aims to better understand the challenges families face, their needs and their suggestions for support.

Cockburn Chinese Community Association invites everyone to learn more about this project and take a few minutes to complete the survey and share their experiences and perspectives.

Every response can help improve understanding of the experiences and needs of different families and provide valuable insights into the challenges they face.

🌱 倾听家长心声，让移民家庭的声音被听见

2026年10月15日（星期四），在中文儿歌会结束后，酷本华人社团组织华人家长参与了由 SSI（Settlement Services International）开展的多元文化儿童调研交流活动。

活动中，家长们分享了在澳洲养育孩子的真实经历，交流了不同成长阶段所面对的挑战、家庭的实际需要，以及对现有育儿环境和相关服务的看法。

大家整体上对澳洲的育儿环境表示肯定，同时也提出了一些值得关注的问题和改善建议。

这项调研是 Welcoming Australia 整体项目的一部分，旨在聆听不同移民家庭的真实声音，了解他们在养育孩子过程中遇到的困难与需求，为改善相关服务、支持移民家庭更好地在澳洲生活与融入提供参考。

我们相信，每个家庭的经历都值得被聆听，每一份真诚的分享都可能为社区带来积极的改变。

🌱 Listening to Parents, Amplifying Migrant Families’ Voices

On Thursday, 15 October 2026, following our Rhymes in Chinese session, Cockburn Chinese Community Association brought together Chinese-speaking parents to participate in a multicultural children’s research and discussion session conducted by SSI (Settlement Services International).

Parents shared their real-life experiences of raising children in Australia, discussing the challenges families face at different stages of their children’s development, their needs, and their views on the local parenting environment and support services.

While participants generally expressed positive views about raising children in Australia, they also highlighted areas where further support and improvements would be valuable.

This research forms part of the broader Welcoming Australia initiative. It aims to gather authentic perspectives from migrant families to better understand their experiences and needs, helping inform improvements to services that support families to settle and feel a sense of belonging in Australia.

We believe every family’s experience matters, and every voice deserves to be heard.

It’s been two weeks since our last get-together. Did you miss us? 😊

It was lovely to see so many new faces today! Some of our families have been spreading the word and inviting their friends along, helping our little community grow. Thank you for your support and for sharing the word about Rhymes in Chinese!

🎂 Celebrating our October birthday babies!

One by one, the little birthday stars came up to receive their gifts and take photos together. Of course, we also sang Happy Birthday! It was lovely to see everyone sharing in the joy and making the celebration extra special.

💝 We also had a very special little birthday star who turned two today!

Thank you for choosing to celebrate your special day with us. We’re so happy we could be part of this lovely occasion. Happy 2nd birthday! Wishing you lots of happiness and smiles every day!

中秋是什么味道？
是甜甜的月饼，是亮亮的灯笼，
也是孩子们和家人一起欢笑、一起感受节日的温暖时光。💛

9月24日的中文儿歌会，我们一起提前感受了满满的中秋气氛！

📖 翻开中秋立体书
谢谢Mini带来了有趣的中秋立体书！
翻开一页页立体画面，有嫦娥、有一家人团聚赏月，还有提着灯笼的热闹场景。小朋友们一边看、一边认识中秋，也感受着团圆的节日气氛。🌕

🏮 一起做一盏中秋小灯笼
一个小纸杯、一盏小灯，再加上写着“中秋快乐”的小纸片，变成了一盏特别的中秋小灯笼。✨
等到周围暗下来，打开小灯，暖暖的灯光透出来，“中秋快乐”四个字也被照亮了！
小小的灯笼，亮起的不只是灯光，还有满满的中秋祝福。💛

🥮 甜甜的中秋味道
感谢Karen亲手制作的月饼，也谢谢Kiki带来的小甜点，让今天的中文儿歌会多了一份甜甜的中秋味道。🥮💕

What does Mid-Autumn Festival feel like?
Sweet mooncakes, glowing lanterns,
and most of all, the warm and happy moments shared with family. 💛

On September 24, our Rhymes in Chinese session was filled with the joyful spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival!

📖 Exploring a Mid-Autumn Pop-Up Book

A big thank you to Mini for bringing along a wonderful Mid-Autumn pop-up book!
As we turned each page, colourful 3D scenes came to life — Chang’e, families gathering to admire the moon, and people carrying lanterns. The children enjoyed exploring the pictures while learning more about this special festival and its tradition of togetherness. 🌕

🏮 Making a Little Mid-Autumn Lantern

A little paper cup, a tiny light, and a small piece of paper with the words “中秋快乐”（Happy Mid-Autumn Festival） came together to make a very special little lantern. ✨
Then came the magic — when the room became darker and the light was switched on, the words “中秋快乐” （ Happy Mid-Autumn Festival） lit up!
A little lantern shining with more than just light — it was glowing with Mid-Autumn wishes too. 💛

🥮 A Sweet Taste of Mid-Autumn Festival

A big thank you to Karen for making the delicious mooncakes, and to Kiki for bringing along some lovely little treats. They added an extra touch of sweetness to our Rhymes in Chinese session. 🥮💕

A huge thank you to the Cockburn Chinese Community Association for providing such an amazing meal on Friday night! 🥢❤️

The noodles were absolutely delicious, Thomas! 😋

We had a wonderful turnout, with around 110 community members joining us for a night of good food, connection and community — and all while competing with the footy! 🏉

It was fantastic to see so many people coming together, enjoying a meal and connecting with others.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening such a success. We love seeing our community come together!

The next Eats is on the 9 Oct (during the school holidays) and the Family Centre will be hosting the meal along with volunteer community members. If you would like to volunteer, please speak to Jo on 9417 9995 or [email protected]
