今天的主角不只是孩子｜中文儿歌会欢乐回顾

今天的中文儿歌会，有两位意想不到的主角。

每个月，我们都会选一个星期四，为当月生日的小朋友送上祝福 🎂

这个月虽然没有六月生日的小朋友，却迎来了两位六月生日的妈妈。原本是陪孩子来参加儿歌会，没想到自己也收到了一份温暖的小惊喜——可爱的小书包 🎒

看到妈妈们开心的笑容，我们也跟着开心起来😊

🚂 火车快飞，泡泡满天飞！

今天大家再次一起玩《火车快飞》。

大小朋友排成小火车，穿过志愿者用双手搭起的小桥。五彩缤纷的泡泡在空中轻轻飘舞，孩子们睁大眼睛看着泡泡飞来飞去，脸上满是惊喜与笑容 🫧✨

志愿者还特别邀请大一点的小朋友一起体验吹泡泡。鼓起小脸认真吹气的模样特别可爱，一个个泡泡飘向空中，也把快乐分享给身边的每一个人 😊

🌍 一起唱、一起玩、一起学中文
今天现场来了许多不同文化背景的家庭。虽然大家来自不同国家、说着不同语言，却因为孩子们的笑声聚在一起。

中文儿歌会不仅是学习中文的地方，更是一个让不同文化彼此认识、交流与分享快乐的小天地

为了让每一位大朋友和小朋友都能轻松参与，Mini 负责中文带领，Lucy 负责英文翻译，中英文交替进行。

无论来自哪里，大家都能一起唱、一起玩、一起享受中文儿歌会的乐趣 🎶

Not Just the Children Were the Stars Today | Rhymes in Chinese Recap

Today’s Rhymes in Chinese had two very unexpected stars.

Each month, we choose one session to celebrate children with birthdays in that month 🎂

Although we didn’t have any June birthday children joining us this time, we were delighted to welcome two mums celebrating their birthdays in June. They came along to accompany their children, only to discover that a little surprise was waiting for them too — a cute backpack as a birthday gift 🎒

Seeing the mums’ happy smiles made us smile too ☺️

🚂 The Train is Moving & Bubbles Everywhere!

Today, we played our favourite game, The Train is Moving, once again.

Families formed a little train and made their way through a bridge created by our volunteers’ raised arms. Colourful bubbles floated gently through the air, while children watched with wide eyes and delighted smiles 🫧✨

Our volunteers also invited some of the older children to try blowing bubbles themselves. Their focused little faces and excited expressions were absolutely adorable. As bubbles drifted through the air, they seemed to spread happiness to everyone around them.

🌍 Singing, Playing and Learning Chinese Together
Today we were delighted to welcome many families from different cultural backgrounds.

Although we come from different countries and speak different languages, we were brought together by the laughter of children.

Rhymes in Chinese is not only a place to learn Chinese, but also a welcoming space where families can connect, share cultures and create happy memories together.

🎤 Bilingual Fun for Everyone

To help every child and adult participate comfortably, Mini led the Chinese session while Lucy provided English translation throughout the program.

No matter where our families come from, everyone can join in the songs, games and fun together 🎶

Each volunteer contributed in their own special way. Some led activities, some provided translation, some encouraged children to participate, and some captured these precious moments through the camera lens.

Because of your dedication and care, our children enjoyed a morning filled with laughter, warmth and growth.

🌈☔ 中文儿歌会的一个雨天故事

今天早上下着雨，后来慢慢转为阴天。虽然天气有点凉，但一走进图书馆，就看见熟悉的笑脸，一切都变得温暖起来。

🌈 彩虹伞也回来了
当彩虹伞再次打开的那一刻，孩子们的笑声一下子充满了整个空间，像雨后的天空一样明亮 🌤️

👦 一个温柔的成长瞬间
在中文儿歌会里，我们看着孩子慢慢成长，也为每一个小小的进步感到由衷的喜悦 🌱

今天有一位特别的小朋友。姥姥和姥爷说，他在家里非常活泼，但每次来到中文儿歌会，总是安静地坐着，认真地看着大家。

最近他开始慢慢学会拍手，也能跟着做一两个动作了，让人觉得特别珍贵。

因为他即将去托儿中心，今天大家特地和他合照留念。姥爷说，也许以后还会再回来。

🌈☔ A Rainy Day Story at Rhymes in Chinese

Today started with rain and gradually turned cloudy. Although the weather was a little cool, the moment we stepped into the library, familiar smiles greeted us and everything felt warm again.

🌈 The rainbow parachute is back
When the rainbow parachute was opened again, children’s laughter filled the entire space, as bright as the sky after rain 🌤️

👦 A tender growth moment
At Rhymes in Chinese, we watch children grow little by little, and feel truly delighted by every little step of their progress 🌱

Today, there was a very special little child. His grandparents shared that he is very lively at home, but at Rhymes in Chinese, he usually sits quietly and observes everyone attentively.

Recently, he has started to learn clapping and can follow a few simple actions. These small moments feel especially precious.

As he is soon going to childcare, we took a photo together today as a keepsake. His grandfather said he may come back again in the future.

🧡 You are always welcome back. We will always be here.

ℹ️让声音被听见，让社区更安全｜CoSafe 社区安全信息分享会

2026年5月27日，星期三晚上，酷本华人社团（Cockburn Chinese Community Association）很荣幸与酷本市（City of Cockburn）在 Cockburn Council 联合举办了一场 CoSafe 社区安全信息分享会，为居民提供实用的社区安全资讯，并加强与市政府之间的沟通与联系。

本次讲座由 City of Cockburn Community Safety Manager William Wu 主讲。他以亲切、易懂的方式，用中英文双语向大家介绍 CoSafe 的职能，以及其与警方的合作关系，并分享在社区安全方面能够提供的支持服务。

同时，他也介绍了酷本市（City of Cockburn）提供的多项社区安全相关政策与支持计划，包括家庭安防摄像头补贴、长者安全支持计划等实用资讯，并讲解相关申请流程，让居民更清楚了解可获得的资源与协助。

现场互动气氛热烈，居民踊跃提出各种与日常生活相关的安全问题，包括邻里噪音、宠物安全、社区可疑情况、外出期间的居家安全，以及如何应对骚扰与种族歧视等。William 都一一耐心解答，并提供了实用建议。

我们也特别感谢 City of Cockburn Cultural Diversity Officer Liz Vuchocho 的协调与支持，促成此次讲座顺利举行，并进一步加强多元文化社区与市政府之间的沟通与联系。

ℹ️ Let Voices Be Heard, Build a Safer Community | CoSafe Community Safety Information Session

On 27 May 2026 (Wednesday), Cockburn Chinese Community Association (CCCA) was honoured to partner with the City of Cockburn to host a CoSafe Community Safety Information Session at Cockburn Council. The session provided practical community safety information for residents while strengthening communication and connections between the community and local government.

The session was presented by City of Cockburn Community Safety Manager William Wu. Through a bilingual presentation in English and Mandarin, he introduced the role of CoSafe, its relationship with the police, and the range of support services available to help enhance community safety.

William also shared information about a number of community safety initiatives and support programs offered by the City of Cockburn, including home security camera rebates, seniors’ safety support programs, and the relevant application processes. These practical insights helped residents better understand the resources and assistance available to them.

The session featured active participation and lively discussion throughout, with residents raising a variety of everyday safety concerns, including neighbourhood noise, pet safety, suspicious activity in the community, home security while travelling, and how to respond to harassment or racial discrimination. William patiently addressed each question and provided practical advice and guidance.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to City of Cockburn Cultural Diversity Officer Liz Vuchocho for her coordination and support in making this event possible, and for strengthening connections between the local government and our multicultural community.

We thank the City of Cockburn for its support and all residents for their enthusiastic participation. This informative and engaging session not only increased community safety awareness but also strengthened connections within the community.

🌊因为有你，社区更温暖｜2026 Cockburn Volunteer Awards Night

2026年5月23日星期六晚上，我们有幸受邀出席由 City of Cockburn 举办的 2026 Cockburn Volunteer Awards Night。

今年晚宴以“海洋”为主题，美人鱼、水母、小丑鱼、人鱼公主等充满巧思的海洋造型穿梭其间，令人仿佛置身于缤纷的海底世界。酷本市市长 Logan Howlett 以海盗造型亮相，夫人 Patricia Howlett 则化身魔鬼鱼，为整个晚上增添了不少欢笑与惊喜。🧜‍♀️🏴‍☠️🪼

这个晚上，不仅表彰了许多长期服务社区的志愿者与非营利组织，也让我们再次感受到 Cockburn 社区丰富而充满活力的志愿服务文化。

当晚，我们聆听了许多获奖者与志愿者背后的故事。无论是关怀有需要的家庭、推动社区活动，还是守护社区安全，他们都以实际行动为社区带来积极而深远的影响。每一份付出都值得被看见与珍惜。

在此，我们为社团能够获得提名感到荣幸，也向所有获奖者致以最诚挚的祝贺。👏

作为社区的一份子，酷本华人社团多年来持续参与社区服务与多元文化交流。透过端午节、中秋节等文化活动、中文儿歌会、社区讲座，以及太极和儿童课程等活动，我们努力搭建交流的平台，促进文化理解与邻里连结，让更多居民能够参与其中、共同成长。

这些活动能够持续开展，离不开委员和志愿者们长期以来的支持与投入。大家在工作与家庭之余，依然愿意从繁忙的生活中挤出时间和心力，为社团的发展和社区的福祉共同努力。

🌊Because of You, Our Community is Stronger | 2026 Cockburn Volunteer Awards Night

On Saturday evening, 23 May 2026, we were honoured to attend the 2026 Cockburn Volunteer Awards Night hosted by the City of Cockburn.

This year’s event embraced an “Under the Sea” theme, with mermaids, jellyfish, clownfish, and other imaginative ocean-inspired characters bringing the venue to life, creating a vibrant underwater atmosphere. Mayor Logan Howlett of the City of Cockburn arrived dressed as a pirate, while Patricia Howlett appeared as a stingray, adding plenty of smiles and delightful moments throughout the evening. 🧜‍♀️🏴‍☠️🪼

The evening celebrated the dedication of volunteers and not-for-profit organisations whose ongoing contributions continue to strengthen the Cockburn community. It was also a meaningful reminder of the vibrant and generous spirit of volunteering across our region.

Throughout the night, we heard many inspiring stories from award recipients and fellow volunteers. Whether supporting families in need, organising community initiatives, or helping keep the community safe, each contribution has made a lasting and positive impact. Every effort deserves to be recognised and appreciated.

We are honoured that our association was nominated, and we extend our warmest congratulations to all award winners. 👏

As part of the Cockburn community, the Cockburn Chinese Community Association has long been actively involved in community engagement and cultural exchange. Through traditional cultural festivals such as the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, Rhymes in Chinese, community information sessions, Tai Chi, and children’s programs, we continue to create opportunities for connection, learning, and cultural understanding.

These activities are made possible by the ongoing commitment of our committee members and volunteers. Despite their work and family commitments, they continue to give their time and energy to support both the association and the wider community.

We have always focused on carrying out our community work with dedication and consistency. This evening was also a reminder that sharing these stories is not only about documentation, but about helping others recognise the value of volunteering and encouraging more people to take part in community life. ✨

🍵 茶和天下 | 以茶会友, 以文化连心 🍵

2026年5月23日（星期六），我们很开心参与了由西澳中华会馆主办、澳洲华侨华人女性商会承办的「茶和天下：2026西澳第一届国际茶文化日」。

活动在西澳珀斯举行。当天现场特别热闹温暖，来自州政府、市政府、领团以及各族裔社区的百余位嘉宾聚在一起，在茶香中度过了一个很有文化味道的下午。

今天回想起来，画面感依然很强。不同国家和文化背景的茶艺展示和文化表演一个接一个展开，有中国、印度、印尼、阿拉伯等不同风格。大家一边欣赏、一边交流，每一杯茶、每一段表演，都像是在轻轻分享属于各自文化的小故事。

茶，不只是饮品，更是一种连接人与人之间的方式。它让大家自然坐下来聊天、分享，在轻松的氛围中慢慢拉近距离。它所承载的包容、理解与交流，也正正体现了多元文化社会的精神。

酷本华人社团由会长 Jess 代表出席参与这次活动，也很高兴能和不同社团和朋友们见面交流，一起感受这场充满温度的文化活动。

🍵 Tea for Harmony | Connecting People Through Tea & Culture 🍵

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, we were very pleased to take part in the “Tea for Harmony: First International Tea Culture Day in Western Australia 2026”, hosted by the Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and organised by the Australian Chinese Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

The event was held in Perth, Western Australia. The atmosphere on the day was warm and lively, bringing together over a hundred guests from government departments, local councils, consular corps, and various multicultural communities to share a meaningful afternoon filled with the aroma of tea and cultural exchange.

Looking back, the event still feels very vivid. Tea ceremonies and cultural performances from different countries and backgrounds unfolded one after another, including Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, and Arabic traditions. While watching and chatting, each cup of tea and every performance felt like a gentle sharing of cultural stories.

Tea is more than just a drink. It is a way of connecting people. It naturally brings everyone together to sit, talk and share, making cultural exchange feel relaxed, warm and personal. It truly reflects the spirit of understanding, inclusion and diversity in a multicultural society.

The Cockburn Chinese Community Association (CCCA) was represented by our President, Jess, who joined in this meaningful cultural exchange and had the opportunity to connect with friends from different communities.

🌸 中国驻珀斯总领馆与Cockburn社区 | 温暖面对面交流 🌸

2026年5月21日，中国驻珀斯总领馆付莉华总领事、王主峰主任及张博隆领事与Cockburn社区几位华人社团代表进行了亲切交流，酷本华人社团（CCCA）副会长 Tina 也参与了此次见面。

现场气氛轻松自然，没有拘谨的形式，更像是一场真诚的交流与分享。大家围绕海外华人的生活、社区发展以及新移民在澳洲的适应与需求进行了沟通与讨论。

过程中可以感受到，总领馆一直关心海外华人的生活与发展，耐心倾听基层社区的声音，并持续促进中澳之间的友好交流与社区连结。

付总领事也表示，大家今后无论在生活还是工作中遇到任何困难和需求，都可以随时联系总领馆，总领馆始终是广大海外华人的坚强后盾。

感谢这样真诚的相聚，也感谢中国驻珀斯总领馆一直以来对海外华人社区的关心与支持，让大家在异国他乡也多了一份温暖与安心💕

🌸 Chinese Consulate-General in Perth & Cockburn Community | A Warm Face-to-Face Exchange 🌸

On 21 May 2026, Consul General Fu LiHua, Director Wang ZhuFeng, and Consul Zhang BoLong from the Chinese Consulate-General in Perth met with several representatives from Chinese community associations in Cockburn. Tina, Vice President of the Cockburn Chinese Community Association (CCCA), also participated in the meeting.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with no formalities — more like a sincere gathering for open conversation and sharing. Discussions focused on the lives of overseas Chinese, community development, and the experiences and needs of new migrants adapting to life in Australia.

Throughout the exchange, it was clear that the Consulate-General genuinely cares about the wellbeing and development of overseas Chinese communities, listens attentively to grassroots voices, and continues to promote friendly connections and community exchange between China and Australia.

Consul General Fu also shared that if members of the community encounter any difficulties or needs in their daily lives or work, they are always welcome to contact the Consulate-General, which will continue to stand as a strong support for overseas Chinese communities.

We are grateful for this sincere gathering and deeply appreciate the continued care and support from the Chinese Consulate-General in Perth, giving overseas Chinese communities an added sense of warmth and reassurance while living abroad 💕

今天我们一起唱童谣《小皮球》，现场准备了好多颜色鲜艳的气球 🎈
孩子们开心地拍气球、丢气球、追着气球跑，还有小朋友一把抱住气球舍不得放手，可爱的模样让现场充满欢笑 ✨

📚 温暖的绘本馈赠
今天我们很开心迎来了中国驻珀斯总领馆王主峰主任及张博隆领事
领事馆特别馈赠了一批适合孩子阅读的中文绘本 📚
绘本里不仅有中文、拼音，还有英文翻译与单词对照，非常适合孩子们边读边学，在轻松有趣的阅读中认识中文与中华文化

🎨 小陀螺转呀转
今天孩子们也一起动手制作小陀螺 💫
大家在圆形纸卡上涂上喜欢的颜色，再插上小棉花棒，轻轻一转，小陀螺就快乐地旋转起来啦！大朋友和小朋友一起玩得不亦乐乎
传统童玩小陀螺被巧妙融入活动中，让孩子们在欢笑与游戏里，自然而然感受中华文化与中文童谣的乐趣 。志愿者们为活动花了不少心思与创意，我们真的要为他们的用心点个大大的赞 👍

📚 Warm Visit from the Chinese Consulate in Perth | Rhymes in Chinese Fun Recap 💫

Today’s Rhymes in Chinese session was filled with laughter and joy — colourful balloons, children’s favourite nursery rhymes, and spinning tops brought the whole library children’s area to life.

🎈 “Little Ball” Fun Time
Today we sang the nursery rhyme “Little Ball” together, with lots of colourful balloons prepared 🎈
The children happily tapped, tossed, and chased the balloons around. Some little ones even hugged their balloons tightly and didn’t want to let go — their adorable moments filled the room with laughter ✨

📚 A Warm Book Donation
Today we were delighted to welcome Director Wang ZhuFeng and Consul Zhang BoLong from the Chinese Consulate in Perth.
The Consulate generously donated a collection of Chinese picture books 📚
The books include Chinese, pinyin, English translations, and vocabulary support, making them perfect for children to learn while reading, and to naturally explore the Chinese language and culture.

🎨 Spinning Top Fun
Today, the children also made their own spinning tops 💫
They coloured round paper cards with their favourite designs, added cotton stick handles, and with a gentle spin, the tops came to life! Parents and children had a wonderful time playing together.

粽叶飘香，端午将至～ CCCA 诚邀大家一起来体验传统包粽子的乐趣，感受浓浓端午节气氛!

The aroma of bamboo leaves means the Dragon Boat Festival is just around the corner!

CCCA warmly invites everyone to join us for a fun and hands-on dumpling wrapping experience while celebrating this special traditional festival together

Whether you would like to learn how to make dumplings, enjoy a fun family activity, or simply experience the festive atmosphere, we would love to see you there!
