🎶 中文儿歌会回顾｜小小听众与泡泡的欢乐早晨

📅 13/8/26（星期四）

这个星期的中文儿歌会，来了不少小小听众，也认识了几张新面孔！👶

软软的垫子上坐着、躺着一群可爱的小宝宝，跟着熟悉的儿歌听一听、看一看，用自己的方式认识中文、感受节奏。

🐱 “三只小猫”回来啦！
好一阵子没唱的《三只小猫》再次响起，依然很受小朋友们喜爱。熟悉的旋律一出来，小朋友们马上投入其中，看来好歌就是唱多久都不会过时呀！

对于还在慢慢熟悉环境的小朋友，志愿者们也会走到他们身边，用歌声、笑容和简单的互动，陪着他们一点一点加入进来。

🫧 泡泡飞起来，小宝宝也忙起来！
考虑到今天来了不少小宝宝，后面的互动也换了一个玩法：一边是泡泡机，一边是手吹泡泡，志愿者们把一个个轻飘飘的泡泡送到孩子们面前。

小眼睛追着泡泡转，小手也忍不住想伸出去抓一抓。小小的泡泡飞来飞去，孩子们也跟着忙得不亦乐乎！

感谢每一位家长和小朋友的参与，也谢谢今天的志愿者：白云、Lucy、Mini 和 Rita。

谢谢你们总能留意孩子们的反应，随着他们的年龄和状态调整互动方式，让每个小朋友都能用自己的节奏参与其中。🌷

🎶 Rhymes in Chinese | Little listeners and a morning full of bubbles

This week at Rhymes in Chinese, we welcomed lots of little listeners, including a few new faces! 👶

With many little babies joining us, they spent time on the soft mats listening, watching and joining in with the Chinese nursery rhymes in their own little ways.

🐱 “Three Little Cats” is back!
After not singing it for quite a while, “Three Little Cats” made a return — and it was still a favourite with the children! As soon as the familiar tune started, the little ones were ready to join in. Some songs really never get old!

For children who are still taking their time to feel comfortable in a new environment, our volunteers also spent time with them individually, using songs, smiles and simple interactions to help them join in at their own pace.

🫧 Bubbles, bubbles everywhere!
With lots of little babies joining us, we changed things up for the final activity. One volunteer used a bubble machine while another blew bubbles by hand, bringing the bubbles right up close to the children.

Little eyes followed the bubbles, and little hands reached out to catch them. With bubbles floating all around, the children were completely fascinated! 🫧

A big thank you to all the parents and little ones who joined us, and to our volunteers Baiyun, Lucy, Mini and Rita.

Thank you for always noticing how the children are responding and adapting the activities to suit their ages and needs. It’s this thoughtful care that helps every child join in at their own pace. 🌷

We look forward to seeing everyone at our next Rhymes in Chinese session! 🎶

📋 2026年澳洲人口普查已经正式展开。

为了帮助华人社区更了解人口普查的内容和填写方式，酷本华人社团（CCCA）于2026年8月8日（星期六）邀请澳洲统计局（ABS）工作人员举办了一场线上中文讲座及答疑会。

虽然只是一场小小的线上活动，却解决了不少大家关心的问题。尤其今年的人口普查与五年前相比有一些变化，许多朋友都希望在正式填写前先了解清楚。

讲座中，大家用熟悉的语言提出问题，工作人员也耐心地一一解答。从填写方式到常见疑问，大家都收获满满，对今年的人口普查有了更清晰的了解。

人口普查不仅是一项全国性的统计工作，也为未来社区服务、教育、医疗、交通及公共设施规划提供重要参考。每一份问卷，都能帮助政府更准确地了解社区的需要。

感谢澳洲统计局工作人员的耐心讲解，也感谢每一位参加讲座的朋友！

让资讯更容易获得，让语言不再成为障碍，让社区里的每个人都能更好地参与其中——这也是社区服务的意义所在。

📋 The 2026 Australian Census is now underway.

To help the Chinese community better understand the Census and how to complete it, the Cockburn Chinese Community Association (CCCA) invited staff from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to deliver an online Chinese-language Census information session and Q&A on Saturday, 8 August 2026.

Although it was a small online event, it addressed many of the questions and concerns people had about the Census. With several changes introduced since the last Census five years ago, many participants appreciated the opportunity to learn more before completing their forms.

During the session, participants were able to ask questions in their preferred language, and ABS staff patiently explained the Census process and answered a wide range of common enquiries. The session helped attendees gain a clearer understanding of this year’s Census requirements.

The Census is an important national survey that helps inform future planning for community services, education, healthcare, transport and public facilities. Every completed Census form contributes to a better understanding of the needs of our communities.

Thank you to the ABS staff for the informative presentation and to everyone who joined the session.

Making information more accessible, reducing language barriers, and supporting community participation are all important parts of community service, and we are pleased to play a role in that effort.

🎂 中文儿歌会回顾｜八月宝宝生日快乐！

这个星期的中文儿歌会，充满了歌声、笑声，还有满满的生日祝福！🎂

今天我们一起为八月出生的小寿星庆祝生日。大家围在一起唱生日歌，小寿星开心地领取了属于自己的生日小礼物，脸上挂着灿烂的笑容，也为这个星期四增添了一份特别的快乐。✨

很开心这次又迎来了几位新的家长和小朋友，欢迎你们加入中文儿歌会大家庭！👏

为了让每一位家长和小朋友都能轻松参与，活动过程中采用中英文交替进行。无论是第一次参加，还是已经参加了许多次的老朋友，大家都能一起唱儿歌、玩游戏，在轻松愉快的氛围中感受中文的乐趣。

看着孩子们从陌生到慢慢融入，从安静观察到开心地加入游戏，心里总会涌起一份暖暖的感动。

感谢每一位家长和小朋友的参与，也谢谢今天辛苦付出的志愿者：白云、芬、Mini、Rita 和珊。

🎂Rhymes in Chinese Recap | Happy August Birthday!

This week's Rhymes in Chinese session was filled with songs, laughter and birthday wishes! 🎂

Today, we celebrated our August birthday child together. Everyone gathered to sing Happy Birthday, and our little birthday star was delighted to receive a special birthday gift. The bright smile on their face brought an extra touch of joy to the morning. ✨

We were also happy to welcome several new parents and children to our Rhymes in Chinese family. 👏

To help everyone participate comfortably, the session was conducted in both Chinese and English. Whether attending for the first time or returning as familiar friends, everyone could join in the songs, games and fun while experiencing the joy of learning Chinese.

Watching children gradually settle in, move from quietly observing to happily joining the activities, is always one of the most rewarding parts of the morning.

Thank you to every parent and child who joined us, and a special thank you to our volunteers: Baiyun, Fen, Mini, Rita and Shan.

Together, they help create a space filled with songs, laughter and friendship, where children can look forward to a fun Thursday morning each week.

Everyone who is interested in supporting our community is welcome to attend, learn more about CCCA’s work, and contribute to the future development of our association.

CCCA members have voting rights and are eligible for nomination. Non-members are also welcome to attend and may apply to join CCCA on the day. Once membership is confirmed, they may participate in the voting process.
