Our seamstress Yan recently attended the opening of artist ’s exhibition One Thing Becomes Another Again at to see the creations she helped bring to life in person.

We were proud to team up with Sarah on this unique project, with Sarah designing, developing and sampling a series of WORD bags, while our production team brought their sewing expertise to the project—working with challenging canvas fabric to bring each bag to life.

Each bag carries a single word, creating an ever-changing mix of phrases, imperatives and unexpected poetry when worn together.

The exhibition is a wonderful celebration of creativity, collaboration and craftsmanship, and we’re delighted to have played a part in bringing Sarah’s vision to life.

One Thing Becomes Another Again is on display at Linden New Art until 8 November. Be sure to visit and see the WORD bags in person!

This Friday, 28 August, our alterations team will be away, so the studio will be open for alterations pickups only on the day.

Our team will be back on Saturday, and our alterations service will resume as normal.

We’re excited to be part of an innovative new service making clothing alterations more accessible for fashion brands and their customers.

’s new Shopify app allows fashion brands and online retailers to offer post-purchase alterations directly through their online stores. As a social enterprise partner, Second Stitch provides the skilled alterations and fulfilment behind the service.

Our experienced seamstresses help customers get more wear from their clothing through adjustments and repairs that keep garments in use for longer. ♻️

It’s a great example of how technology and social enterprise can come together to support a more circular and sustainable fashion industry, while creating meaningful opportunities through skilled garment work.

It’s here… our brand-new embroidery machine has arrived!

We’re excited to announce that we raised over $6,000!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts and helped make this milestone possible. VICSEG New Futures generously matched donations, allowing us to purchase this amazing new machine.
